I think that Jinta is lying when he has said to Tol: 'you have to make Tin fall in love with you again'. I don't think that's the real purpose of what he has to do but to sacrifice himself to save Tin's life in this "loop", like Tin has sacrificed himself to save Tol's life. When Tin sacrificed himself to protect Tol, Tin's loops ended. Maybe what Tol has to do has something more to do with saving Tin.

Ah, I get it now, because it is a different timeline, in this loop the notebook doesn't even exist so Tin gives it to Tol through the dream
