This is such a good drama that I can see myself rewatching some scenes in the future. The whole vibe is like the pocket books I used to read when I was in college so I'm feeling nostalgic while watching it. The chemistry of main cp is fire, love the friendship and the warm scenes of Hongdou and Grandma Xie. The romance is slow burn but really served after their relationship progressed. Also the scenery is so beautiful and love the OST.
I blind dive watching this drama thinking it was a romcom historical drama but I was so wrong. I don't regret starting the drama but I should have read the synopsis first to mentally prepare myself for what's coming. Actors are so good but I want to highlight Eunjin's acting, I love it so much. The voice of Ryang Eum is so heavenly.
I've been thinking about this but I think even if Jumi didn't entertain her interest for Mingyu and go all in to Gyeore the ending would still be the same. Gyeore convo with his friend in the early episode clearly shows he fell inlove at first sight for JY so even if he got swayed by Jumi after their date the chance of getting Inwoo-Gaheun situation is highly likely to happen again sooner or later. I'm just happy because even if Jumi might not get her happy ending in the house I can see her leaving with no regrets and with new set of friends.
I really find it funny that all of them are either 2nd or not even an option to the person they are interested the most. Like at this rate if they follow their heart till the final selection no one is going to end up with anyone. I'm a sucker for unrequited love trope when it comes to kdrama but it's exhausting to watch it in a reality show. I just want this to end so Jumi can update her sns. Wishing happiness for all of them.
I love both Jumi and Mingyu so I love every second of their date. They didn't try to fill the silence with forced conversation but rather enjoy the silence. (I want a partner like that) It's not a heart fluttering date per se, if you will try to to understand their conversation it's actually sad. Jumi kind of give up on Mingyu without even trying. She just let him know her interest on him but will not pursue coz she don't want to burden him and want to keep a good relationship in the future. She just asked Mingyu to hint on her if she was rejected or not so she won't have lingering feelings. 😢 I know we can't force them whom to like so I just enjoyed watching their date. Them choosing each other is so slim but the chance of them becoming a good friends after the show is high. Hope they both found happiness they deserve.
I think Jumi's upcoming date with Mingyu and Jimin's date with Jiwon will be important for their decision to whether they go straight or step back. I hope they make the best decision. As much as I shipped Jumi-Mingyu in the earlier episodes, I rather have her Song Daeun moment after her date with Mingyu. Rooting for their happiness esp Jumi ❤️
I watch this without expectation but this is surprisingly good for me. My definition of a good drama is when they manage to take me out from reality while watching and this drama did it. There are scenes when I'm literally holding my breath and the the way they did the story telling kept me on my toes and left me wanting for more so I binged watch it in one day. Some actors really served. PS. Kang Minhyuk is one of my forgotten crush from years ago and this drama reminded me that.
