There isn't much to say about this drama. Initially when I started the drama, it seemed very promising. I enjoyed the couples, the acting, and the cinematography, however that didn't last long.

I liked the portrayal of Qing Qing, I thought that she was a bright, strong -headed, and intellectual character and her friendship with Fang Fang was one of the highlights of the show. I also really enjoyed the relationship between Fang Fang and Lin Yiyang, they were, without a doubt, the best couple in the show. I like how they both grew with each other and it was overall endearing to watch.

My main issue with the show was Si Tu Feng and Xin Ya by which Xin Ya was extremely emotionally manipulative/abusive and it's never fully addressed how damaging and toxic her actions were. My main issue with Si Tu Feng is towards the end of the show where he wanted Qing Qing to continue to look "ugly" because he was uncomfortable with all the attention she received when she looked normal. His insecurity rubbed me the wrong away and completely turned me off his character.

Overall: if you are to watch, watch it for the second main couple because they are a lot more satisfactory to watch.

Meh ending

The acting and the chemistry between the 2 main leads was 10/10. They did such a good job, if you are going to watch this then it should be because of that.

The plot was also good, slightly convoluted and confusing but I kind of expected that as this is a Chinese historical drama.

The side couples: trash. They were boring and uninteresting. Added nothing to the story and was a waste of time , although I did love the girl squad, they were really cute.

Now the ending was so meh! Like firstly their reunion was SO anti climatic I wanted it to be more eventful especially considering he's been looking for her for a year. Secondly, when they are granted their marriage by the emperor I just found it so cringy and literally skipped right through it.

Overall, it was a good drama and I would recommend it but there's definitely better Chinese historical dramas out there.

The only reason I finished this drama was because of Wu Bo Song.

There were few things that were good: the cinematography was nice and the acting wasn't that bad considering they were relatively new actors. The side characters were the best, especially Wu Bo Song (who was my favourite character and such a sweetheart ) and Lin Jing Xiao who was such a realistic character. She was strong headed but wasn't stoic like a lot of "strong" female leads tend to be written and had emotions of love and worry and was overall a 3d character.

Bad things. Where do I start. First the plot was very basic but that is expected of a romance drama. My main issue was Jiang Chen and Chen Xiaoxi. Jiang Chen was unbelievably rude to the point where it was sad and pathetic of Chen Xiaoxi to continue to pursue him. I understand he had trouble communicating his feelings because of his father but that isn't an excuse also that didn't make much sense because Wu Bo Song also had family issues and was never unnecessarily mean to Chen Xiaoxi. Wu Bo Song was a much better love interest and would go out of his way to show his affection for Xioaxi but in ways that were meaningful (like when he made it snow because she had never seen snow or when she had stomach pains so he bought her medicine and food). When Jiang Chen tried to show her how he cared he looked stupid and it didn't make much sense, like when he gave up the opportunity to practice at that really good hospital in another city to be with Xiaoxi but then he didn't even go after her and they remained broken up. Chen Xiaoxi was also an unbelievably annoying character. Not only was she so stupid (like she lacked basic comment sense) but when she was with Jiang Chen she became like a child with her actions and her demeanour, I much preferred her with Wu Bo Song because she behaved like an actual grown up.

Overall, would not recommend this drama if you value your time.

Fun, thrilling, short watch

This was a really good drama. The acting was good, the story for the most part made sense and it wasn't unnecessarily long, only 8 episodes all around an hour long(except for the last episode). The action scenes were done so well, a little long but entertaining nonetheless. The characters were easily the best part, the friendship between the 2 main leads was also really well done, as well as the others, and also this was also pretty funny.

I would say there were some logistical fallacies:
- One would be the fact that when they contacted the heir guy, they just sent him a DM and he actually had his notifications on despite having 500k followers. Like I felt like they could've done something more creative.
- Another one was the fact the sushi restaurant fighter got killed off even though he was supposed to be this incredibly skilled and experienced fighter? I just couldn't believe he got taken out by one guy, when a whole fleet couldn't even do it.
- Not as well planned. This is mainly towards the last 2 episodes, a lot of the operations (especially after Mr Oh got captured) weren't planned out and they kind of just improvised what they were going to do, and I would've liked to see them put a bit more brains into their operations.

But overall, I really did like it, and it got me out of a kdrama slump so if your also in one then I would most likely recommend.

Crazy Ending

Generally, I think this drama was done extremely well. The acting especially was phenomenal and I'll definitely be watching more dramas with these actors.

The characters were my favourite aspect of this drama. I loved how all the female characters weren't painted as damsels in distress that couldn't do anything. They were smart and often helped the situation instead of making it worse, and two of the female characters had redemption arcs that were handled really well. I also liked the main couple both together and separately and thought the main second lead couple were done really well in which they were interesting and cute enough to be invested in but not interesting to the point where they would drive the plot if they were the leads.

The plot likewise was pretty good, but this is also the part where I have the most problems with. At the end where Rong'er is presumed dead or unconscious, why did they make her come back to life by getting struck by lightning? I feel like this came out of nowhere and completely threw off the tone of the drama, and therefore I was unable to rate it a 9 like I had originally planned.

This is good drama and I would definitely recommend it to someone who enjoys fantasy and romance.

What I liked about the drama is the initial plot, it's super interesting and there are times where you don't always know where it's going. Personally though my favourite part were the characters. Son Oh Gong is not only hilarious but he really grows throughout the show. I thought that Jin Sun Mi was such a relatable character, she's been on her own for so long (and because of that she is able to deal with most of the problems by herself) that when Son Oh Gong comes she falls for him but also she's aware that she shouldn't feel that way. Overall the characters have such a fun relationship with each other and Son Oh Gong and Jin Sun Mi have great chemistry and are a super cute couple and I could not praise the actors enough especially Lee Seung Gi for there performance. Even the sound track is amazing.

However there are a couple things that I didn't like. I did think that the drama dragged in areas and could have been finished in 18 episodes instead of 20. this in turns makes me less likely to re-watch it. it also has (potential small spoiler) an open ending which I'm not a huge fan of. But other than that I find it hard to fault.

Couldn't even finish the drama because I was so put off by the male lead.

First, lets address the acting of the ML which could be compared to that of a dead fish, though I would argue that at least a dead fish has more emotions than he could ever portray. Was he happy? Sad? Shocked? Disappointed? I'll never know.

Second, lets address his character which somehow was even worse. Firstly, he lies about losing his memory because he wants the FL's shares (which she is unaware of) I assume to take over the company. Secondly, after she nursed him and gave him a home, he leaves her and then when he shows up out of the blue he expects her to be jumping for joy. On multiple occasions he crosses boundaries that she makes very clear she does not want crossed. their are so many awful occasions but the last straw when he forces his way into her brothers apartment and tries to button up her shirt. when she says that she can do it herself he insist upon it as if she isn't a whole grown women that cant do a simple task.

Next is the dialogue which honestly you can tell they tried to make romantic but it just came of as cringy and predatory. And although the plot is filled with clichés that doesn't usually bother me if its done well, but for this drama its like they just were throwing random tropes in for the sake of there being a trope.

I feel bad for the rest of the cast because their acting was actually good and there was a lot of potential but the ML ruined everything.

*TRIGGER WARNING: S/A*

This drama is so disgusting.

First let me preface this by saying I don't actually care if a drama has a toxic male or couple, and I knew going into this drama that the ML was going to be toxic. However the trope of toxic ML does not give him permission to SA the female lead. He first kissed her with out her consent, but then he made her strip her clothes, for no actual reason beside his own pleasure. I don't care if he felt bad afterwards he still did it. I pretty much just stopped watching up until that point cause I knew that nothing he did would redeem himself.
