I'm only 25 minutes into the First episode, and scared to continue. I think they'll be a lot of triggers for me.…
I'm so sorry to hear that. May you have better sleep & peace ❤️ Netflix has put a trigger warning on this drama & it does have a few episodes of Trauma. Strength to you
Let's just agree that both novel and drama has their pros and cons, drama adaptations will never be 100% copy…
I have read the novel after watching half of the drama so I have no complaints. It's just that Sang Yan felt suffering too much while he's willing to be there for her all the time.
There were people around Yifan who became her support like that police officer & Nanwu employer and She had the unseen watch of Sang Yan over her since her high school days. Her trauma became his nightmare too. Sang Yan was literally living life for her and still didn't know coz he always told her whenever you're comfortable, I'm all ears.
Novel's arc of her going to him and telling him herself was superior to adaptation in that sense.
While the adaptation works because it makes Sang Yan more regretful rather than ignorant youth.
She was equally good in the same field that's why was in the team and later on fate made her more qualified than…
Coz she was learning the degree he mastered on his own. Everyone has their pace. She was emotionally intelligent and his anchor. The story goes that way & it's okay. She was stronger than him and her support became his anchor too.
The drama deviation from original has weakened the most anticipated episode 27 as per my own feelings (you're free to disagree). It tried to give more meaningfulness to her dreams and all yet past 4 were the weakest episodes of this series.
So, Eunnam's mother & secretary gong talked about a dead child (probably named Seo Heyong) and Eunnam was blaming her mom for killing her (biological) dad while Dongju remembered saving Illdo when he met an accident in childhood...
Could it be that Eunnam's mom or secretary was behind Dongju's first accident?
rewatching it , and one thing i wished was if only the fl had some depth to her characters it would seem more…
She was equally good in the same field that's why was in the team and later on fate made her more qualified than him by studying abroad. He was gifted. She was a talent.
That's it.

Not sure what's working more or less.
Maybe it's just me.

Best Cdrama in my list.
End of discussion.
