Okay hear me out. I don't get it why a remake was needed When Japanese can watch the OG with subtitles? & considering it wasn't a smash hit like many other Kdramas (Although I kinda loved it).
Watched first episode & felt that even the framing was similar to the original (like the bar scene).
The starting was 🔥 but it lost it's touch while midway with those forced Triangles. Those Frida Kahlo-ish headgears were fabulous. The lead being pulled into the novel got lost midway.
Still, finishing it up to see how they wrap up things. Could have been shorter.
This is the power of fantasy and unique storytelling with powerful acting & great production that makes you binge watch a Xianxia - A genre that's very new to international audiences like me. (I have seen Till the end of the moon as my first Xianxia)
Leads were so good, the Tale was extraordinary and the impact is everlasting.
