Really glad you brought up the Coen brothers angle. I had been wracking my brain trying to figure it out, but it's a massive breath of fresh air in a world where Korean composition can definitely feel like mechanical, just in time stuff.

The cops being incompetent is something that I picked up on rather quickly and it frustrated me, but what pissed me off to no end was is that one detective who is chasing after Noh Manhui that we find out has nothing to do with the grander conspiracy being presented. So...he basically got got for no reason and had no real idea of what was going on. So why include him?
