I started watching this series just last week and somehow already caught up. I went into it knowing almost nothing except that it was a slice-of-life drama (one of my favorite genres) and from the very first episodes, it completely pulled me in. I laughed, cried, laughed again, and felt so many emotions throughout the journey.
What made it even more special was discovering that it shares the same screenwriter as My Liberation Notes and My Mister, which are easily two of my all-time favorite K-dramas. You can really feel that same depth, warmth, and emotional honesty in the writing.
Now there’s only one episode left, and honestly, I have no idea how this drama will end. I’m both excited and emotionally unprepared for the finale.
I just finished the first three episodes, and now I want more!
One moment that really stood out to me was in Episode 3, around the 26-minute mark, the intense stare-down between him and his uncle. He’s gripping the broom tightly, trying to hold himself together, and then he smiles. That shot was so good.
I just finished The Prisoner of Beauty and OMG—can someone PLEASE give Song Zuer and Liu Yu Ning another drama together?! I need more of their chemistry in my life!! 😭❤️🔥
Just wrapped up my first meeting this afternoon, casually browsing the internet… and BOOM — a new trailer drops! I head over to the WeTV website and BOOM again — Prisoner of Beauty is officially out! I’m beyond happy right now — who cares about workloads when beauty and drama are calling? Thank you, universe!
Episode 32 - LOL, it's hilarious how he keeps dying and then insists on going back just to give Tianyu guy a piece of his mind! 😂 Xu Qi'An’s message really hit though: "people's lives are different. We live in our own ways..." "...people's lives are unique and wonderful. All of us have to deal with our sorrow and regrets...." *Chef’s kiss!* 😌
