💯 Fr! They both were at fault at various points. Even the last fight before breakup - ML was saying straight up stupid things like if it wasn’t you, it would’ve been someone else bs. He also didn’t clarify then and there that he did support her promotion in fact and gave her the highest score. Just say the truth.
But she ALSO turns out hid the truth from him…again! Like how had she not told him that one of her best friends was dead? By suicide no less. Like wtaf!!! This was such a huge life changing moment - wdym she hadn’t told him 😂
If the show wants to show us redemption, it should be for both characters. I am a woman and I want to see flawed female characters as long as they also get a meaningful redemption. This is straight up saying only a guy needs to reflect and change himself whereas the woman never needs to grow and improve herself. 🙄
A thing I didn’t love throughout the show and the ending of the show is we do not see much growth in Shang Zhitao when it comes to being a partner/gf to Luke. She grew a lot professionally and in her relationships with colleagues, friends and family, but not in her relationship with Luke.
The ending felt flat to me because Luke did all the reflecting, pining, grovelling, apologising, making up - everything. But we saw nothing from Flora. She was deeply insecure and never able to verbalise her feelings at the start. And she was basically a mute at the end. Like she had virtually no dialogues in the ending episode.
But she is able to communicate. We see her doing this with everyone but Luke. Wish they’d made her more “adult” almost, for lack for a better word. When Luke was telling her how he’d changed for her, wish she also told him about her insecurities, some of the things she felt that she couldn’t previously share and what and how she was going to change in the relationship.
They went from being broken up for 2 years after a veery painful breakup, to kissing on day 1 of reunion and marriage on day 2…😂

Let’s assume Flora was hesitant to introduce LN as her bf to her ex, but she should’ve at least made it clear to the ex that she is in a relationship at the dinner because the ex was giving clear hints he still wants her. She didn’t even need to tell the ex LN is her bf, she should’ve just said I have a bf. Then the ex wouldn’t have shown up.
And yes - I HAD THE SAME QUESTION - how does he know her room number? The hotel wouldn’t. But I chalk it up to the suspension of belief one needs when watching cdramas 🤣

She can almost never admit he is her bf, she has left him out of all big events in her life until he finds out through someone else and has him questioning if she even considers him her bf, she has a public dating app account (appreciate not of her own accord but I did not see her comforting and making it clear to LN that she didn’t know about it and apologising for it), she then drops the ex right in the middle of it and introduces her “bf” as her colleague and never tells her ex during their dinner that she is taken despite the ex hinting at wanting to reignite something…
5 mins later, also SZT: I want to go public, get married, maybe have a kid because that’s what my bestie just said and I realised this is also my dream even though I’ve never mentioned it before in 4 years of top secret relationship. Also, I need to do this before I turn 30 😭🤣
