Hou Chi pretended to save a fox lady with Qingmu to get into the demon realm. That fox was in love with the demon king's son. Later she died. But she became a devil later on in this drama.

If you watch ALP, you can get more knowledge about that universe and the back story of ML Yuanqi. You will get more depth of each characters.
But even if you don't watch it, you won't have any problem watching this drama as everything is being mentioned here in short.

1. When Yuanqi was mentioning his father's story, it got me tearing! BJ never lived his life the way he wanted. YQ is right about being a normal carefree immortal rather than be a true god bearing huge responsibility.
2. And to YQ: There is such a cute adorable Ayin beside you, how can you not fall for her? Peacock helped you once(though it's a lie) and you fell for her. But Ayin saved you so many times damaging her immortal spirit. How can you not fall for her???
3. Hongri looked good with that eagle princess. Maybe we will get a new couple.
4. Feng Chi was Fengyuan's mom, right?? (According to ALP). And I think now I know who that devil woman is. She was two faced fox with weak power in ALP. Not a strong villain. Maybe she is not the main villain here.

Yes...It's difficult to find the relationship between the old and new names.

So couldn't agree with you.

It's sad to see most of the comments telling that the rating is low because of ALP fans! When it's most probably because of Lusi's haters.
And as for the low rating, only 140 people rated it. Most of the dramas start with low ratings and later they tend to go higher.

In the last episodes of ALP, Fengran became the Heavenly Empress after Wuhan got banished. ML grew up, not a kid anymore. So maybe that's why he is calling her aunt. Previously he liked her when he was a child.

Comparing is bound to occur as they are written by the same author. As a fan of ALP, I would definitely try to relate the characters between the two dramas as it would be nostalgic to think that we are watching the loveline of Bai Jue and Shangu's son & Ayin.
Not all the persons who are comparing are haters. There are many people who are actually enjoying it so far!
