If the plot is consistent throughout the story then LITC has potential to explode. And chinese people doesn't like ancient idol drama anymore. So YMCG's storyline matches with their taste. Hope it has some good revenge plot with intriguing storyline like the double. Then it can be a hit too.

Cambrian period was a hit back then. And the results of "The Lost Tomb 2" & "When We Were Young" were also very good.
Both DY & FOF did him dirty. FOF had so many potential but GJM ruined it just to promote his own people. Despite this Neo became more popular than before.

Tbh atp Neo only need one explosive drama in his list rn.

TBOY was not a big IP either but it was popular. And DY was written after facing the popularity of TBOY novel.
And still Baili had his own growthline in the novel with lots of fighting scenes. But the screenwriter of this Drama was terrible enough to wipe out the main protagonist from the story.

I was also bored during those 3 episodes as the older version of Ae Sun & Gwang Sik were introduced. My mind had to accept that first and I started enjoying again after I got used to them.
