I think LYF mentioned once that his father was too busy and kinda neglect him and his mom in the past, so I thought their relationship would be more antagonized. But seeing that he’s still willing to come home and visit his dad, even ran back home when he heard his dad got hurt, made it feel like whatever beef they had in the past, LYF probably decided to make peace with it and just retain the father-son relationship as respectful as he could. I actually like that even though its apparent he has a high taste and standard, he’s practical enough to roll with whatever life gives him. He appreciates good food no matter who made it and dont mind acting like he’s broke when he really does. His money philosophy is truly that of a businessman: if u can pay for it, just pay it. Ur time n effort worth more than that lol I am more like QF when it comes to money and I can totally relate to her frustration seeing him being so nonchalant about money

Aside from the healthy relationship of the main couple (and their cute bickering), I really love their h2h conversations, especially some of LYF’s insights in life. The last one I remembered was about taking a detour in life, not because u were going down the wrong path, but just because u hit a bit of traffic. Which in real life, u either make a turn to find a smoother path or just wait till u pass it, both ways made sense and both will still get u to ur destination sooner or later. Loved it even more when he said everyone’s destination is the same eventually: going to the cemetery lol
LYF is probably not the greenest or sweetest ML in dramaland, but I think he’s one of the smartest and most thoughtful. Even his relationship with his dad, with the past issues they had, wasnt portrayed as the typical estranged family. It looks like he grew up and grew out of it, made his decisions soundly and live his life as a responsible adult. And his dad looked like he respect his son enough to not cross the line (so far).
I basically ffwd the scenes for the other couples so dont know whats going on with them lol

I came here everyday even before watching it just to read what new discovery (aka it doesnt make sense but I’m watching it anyway) was found on the new episode. I love this once in a blue moon messiness lol

I wont even question it if they suddenly add vampires n werewolves to the mix. So far they’ve been serving everyone’s fave tea lol

Thanks! So this is more comedy? I’ve actually watched both leads on their travel variety show n they totally gave off siblings vibe so thats why I’m curious how they’ll act on this one (especially with thay steamy bts going around lol)

Oh i dunno if wetv app is different in each region, but mine (Indonesia) has a final eps count displayed underneath the title and how many eps u got each day till what date. But u can only see it in mini player mode (where u can see details under the video player), if ur on full screen, it wont show

I actually interested in this because of the VR game lol i’m a bit of tech nerdy so I like stories where they (correctly n fittingly) use some virtual technologies like Memories of Alhambra. I grew up with CLAMP mangas and animes so those are my faves :D

Ah thanks for the advice. Yeah I also like to keep watching one title to keep the ‘momentum’ so I dont abandon it halfway lol that happens a lot when i watch on air dramas but since cdramas have episodes everyday (unlike good ol’ kdramas), i usually have better track records in finishing them up

Ooo thank you for the quick recap. Is this one 28 or 24eps? On my wetv it says 24eps so i’m counting we’ll have until eps 20 by Jan 30 then last 4eps will be express on Feb 2. I’ll probably start this instead of Can this love be translated coz that one seemed heavier than the trailer suggested n i’m more in the mood for smth light n funny-ish (just finished dynamite kiss which was pretty great)

I have one week left (i’m leaving feb 2) lol looking at the airing calendar and wetv schedule, looks like i will reach eps20 just before my travel and can easily catch up the last 4eps while starting LBL so I maintain the same interest on both

So i have not fully watched LBL (only bits n pieces of its popular scenes) n wanting to binge watch it during my travel next month. But also curious to watch this coz looks like this has a good transmigration element to it (and I’m a 90s kid so love that decade too). And it seems this one is a bit lighter than LBL. Should I watch this one first before LBL so the bar doesnt set too high? This one is also shorter so I should be able to finish the last 4eps while ‘transitioning’ to LBL lol cant believe I even plan this much just to watch a drama 🙈

Oh my god that is such a classic! I watched the old version (Andy Lau era for Condor Heroes but forgot who played the Heavens Sword one) and maybe didnt realise much as a kid lol but thats still one of my fave story

I hate grandma!! She’s like the perfect toxic example of the most toxic elderly figure in Asian family. I really cant understand chinese proverb that says smth along the line ‘parents are the ones who give flesh n blood.’ So? No child ever asked to be born, it was parents decision to bear them so why is it suddenly its the child’s duty to be grateful in every single possible way their parents demand of them?? Sorry, this just hits too close to home coz I also had similar experience in my upbringing n it took me years to get out of that situation. I hope RSB will soon just say f* off n head out to the wilderness with LJL. They can just live in the tea plantation n do their own business.
