He is the cool guy who is the henchman of Wei Yan -- he is the one who was sent to bring Wei Xuan (WY's jerk son) back after he messed up the war and the Yangzhou army (the Marquis' men) almost mutinied. Wei Sheng just stands there arms crossed and lets WX rant away, and then yup, let's go back to Daddy.
When a cdrama is not showing on viki it is hard to gauge the US audience reaction at all. I am surprised POJ didnt make it onto the topten netflix worldwide yet
But POJ topped OnePiece in HongKong on NFT10. That is a feat. And it is running midlist NFT10 in South Korea.
and earlier... gosh, where is another note for me to read on!
That was hysterical when poor Xie Qi ran out of script. A friend and I have been counting other stage play refs in the last few eps -- SYQ on display like a stage prop, the lighting for the tent shadows scene, the HenryV walking through the camp at night trope..not sure why they are there but a definite presence.
because in the novel he didn't miss the entire battle. so I'm actually curious where was he. did he go deal with…
I havent read the novel but I am beginning to think that they revamped his character because his arc has changed, He starts off vulnerable so its not harsh to gentled anymore. It must be from clueless about women and lacking family ties to well you see where. Husband material.
Yeah reckless decision. But not poison, drugged- her own husband- who is lying to her since months. Also she killed…
True but not true. I was annoyed when this was so spoiled beforehand. Couldnt imagine it was true. Now I am so amazed that the director/writer made it seem so natural and predictable.
A magic recipe for blending and combining fantasy and romantic comedy with excellent action work and a minute dash of realism? Unbelievable.
ep26 I had been sure that the butcher's cleaver was obviously her father's sword reforged. But after it cut through General Shu's armor I am beginning to think that it is her mom's dad's sword -- General Meng's sword, with some sort of special properties?
Tian Xi Wei appreciation here!!!! She's so cool, along with her character, without sacrificing her femininity.…
I was worried that in the drama she would be confined only to rescuing women and children, traditionally ok areas for women to display strength and aggression. So yes.
An uninformed hope: a lonely QianQian (sans the tragic QiMin) finds consolation with our sad 2ML, Li HuaiAn. Creepy Grandpa Li should be satisfied with some sort of Prince Consort to the Mother of the now or future Emperor (not sure for whom ML will end being the Regent).
Does anyone think it's a little weird that CY can't read? If her dad and mom aren't actual farmers, I would think…
@sanetaa, yes I do think its a little weird. I havent really worked out why she is like that, and probably it is better to wait until this arc is over. Some of people's ideas sound good, but still.
We could call this arc, "growing up time" -- for ChangYu (learning about how things work) and for JiuHeng (learning about love). Hopefully CY will stop being such a doofus.
If she was more literate in the novel, then what function does making her into a really wild innocent soul in the tv drama have? My instinct would be that it is part of the way the ML is also reshaped. He needs and wants that simplicity and purity.
The romance is really only just getting started. I wonder if it will even more different from the novel soon?
I have to get going but on a distracting note -- the more I see of Xie Wu Brother the more I think he is on my minor hotties list. He wears armor well, can hold his own in closeups and one-on-one with the leads and has really good reaction-shot capability. Nice jawline too.

"Yan Zheng, What do you think? " LMAO
I hate loose ends and unhappy 2MLs.
