FYI, I know about 2 similar dramas done right:
1. Lighter and princess (2022)
2. Dazzling (2026)

All this ML characters either start as a "great" man, or are on the path of becoming one, but end up degenerating into a shadow of the former self.
All this seems like a trap, social engineering, an experiment to reprogram male behavior.
Now, when I notice these patterns, I just give 1 star and move on.

Sadly, this seems to be the morale for most K or C-dramas

Totally agree with overdramatization part, especially the gangster/criminal side of the story, which makes no sense once fully analyzed.

TBH, this is the first anime/manga based drama I saw that is less gynocentric than the source.
