i have always loved complex well thought deeply written characters, and this probably what made this stand out for me. in a fictional world full of idealistic protagonists, it was refreshing to get reminded of the flaws that make us humans in the first place.
might have some minor complains with the story but i chalk it all up to the shortened no. of eps (usual cdrama problem unfortunately) all in all though, i had fun journeying with luan nian and shang zhitao
