I think she remembers only certain people due to the circumstances of her death. Eg the king ordered her to be killed thus he could have been in her thoughts in her last moments and she recognises him. She's still reliving those last seconds and is pretty much traumatised. Other memories will probably resurface as time goes on.

He should have respected her choice no matter what. Reading the text might be excused to a certain degree but I disagree answering the call was okay. They are not close at this point and he tells the caller not to call after a certain hour and even goes as far as to imply he's her "boyfriend".
