okay lol! Again I did not read the book (I think its only like 3-5 chapters fan translated for English) and I'm not sure if they will change anything for the show or not. I read this spoiler from someone who read it.

I guess Nubsib and Gene were like childhood friends/their parents know each other/family friend type of thing. Nubsib ends up going abroad when they are younger but he's always had a crush on Gene. So that might be why it feels like Nubsib is always up to something/hiding something.... haha because he's being tricky/scheming.

I actually like this explanation personally.. because Nubsib always felt like a wolf in sheep's clothing.. so it feels less sinister to me now haha

I think at this point (and given Nubsib's outburst with Tum that he knows Gene's personality and all his likes and dislikes) we can kinda get the picture that Nubsib knows Gene prior to the casting. Which I think we will learn about in upcoming episodes. I think the outburst was kinda ignored because Nubsib seems to understand Gene's quirks and is just trying to keep on his path. Like it feels to me that they are both kinda ... that was uncalled for lets just agree to forget about it... lets pretend that didn't happen. I feel like that's kinda realistic actually.

Hmmm I completely disagree. I'm loving it so far personally. The whole drunk scene I saw as a commentary on how bls usually handle them.. which is unclear consent or completely forgetting everything. They didn't do either of these things which I found refreshing. I think at this point it's pretty clear that Nubsib knows Gene previously and I do think they will dive into that.

I actually really like Gene.. to me he is a representation of an introverted, slightly socially awkward, non doormat. Sometimes he's weird.. sometimes too blunt.. but it never feels like its coming from a bad place, but just not knowing how to handle a given situation. Every episode touches on bl tropes and I really enjoy that. Obviously just my opinion.

I could spoil it a bit for you IF they follow the novel's reasoning... I haven't read it, but I've read some spoilers from people who have read the book... if you are interested.

Yeah the first episode was 1 hour and 5 minutes so they probably just put that as the runtime in the info, but the other episodes aren't. The uncut version on wetv is exactly the same as when they release it on their official YouTube.

I really liked that! The flirting in the first half... excuse meeeee.. that was lovely. It was pretty tame, but it felt like the characters actually liked each other and were in a relationship. The production isn't the highest, but it's not the worst either.

I'm kinda like "huh?" after watching the trailer, but I'm also here for it. lol just a LOT of couples and a lot of stories.

I think the songs being translated counts towards the sub percentage. So sometimes it will say 80 percent, but its a word here or there not subbed or the songs not being subbed all the way too.

Oh man I liked it! I didn't think it was that cringing... I think the trailer really didn't deceive. You could tell the tone (at least) one of the stories will be from it.. Kinda silly and fluffy and then the other story more dramatic. I dunno it's only the first (or 2nd? I know Viki usually combines history history episodes) episode.

There might be a bit of a twist there. I'm pretty intrigued where they will go with that. I've liked all of the HIStory (except the very first body switch one.. the only one I won't rewatch) so I'm interested where (and HOW) that relationship will go.

I actually really liked it. I mean the trailer gives you a good idea what it will be like. Like if you didn't like the trailer, I don't know what to tell ya. Because the trailer I think really tells you how the tone and stuff will be. One story is kinda light and silly and the other it setting more to be a bit more dramatic. I'm intrigued and liked the first episode personally.

I'm pretty intrigued by this. I'm curious about the stalker step brother actually.. I mean yeah it's creepy, but I still wanna learn more about their relationship. And I'm feeling Xiao Li Chen and Teng Muren pairing. I've only hated the very first HIStory (with the body swap and crap), but I've really enjoyed the rest. I liked the first episode.

I guess I see it as a difference between real life and drama. We get insight into both characters which we don’t get in real life. We see Shu Yi push him away and Shi De moving away and sitting on another couch. All those breaks and Shu Yi holding himself back from caressing Shi De paint a picture. We are just able to get into the characters heads which again real life doesn’t offer. Just my opinion though.

I agree. It felt like Shu Yi was fighting more against his own feelings than actually Shi De himself. I noticed Shu Yi wanting and attempting to caress Shi De's face also but holding himself back. I also don't think they actually had sex.
