About their relationship, they are soulmate, XY like spend time with him not because he some cool demon, but because from the beginning they feel they are the same , so can see XY always very open near him, she always show only perfect strong side of herself to Jing, when with XL she just herself. It's more on subtle level, not on surface. Even with poisons, that she all time continue invite new poisons for him, even when she decided not see him again (her poisons for him like vitamins))) there many different details I don't want repeat it all, but if you not think like this - it's okay, there many people who like XL and many who don't like him ))

What's wrong with love XL or Xuan or Jing? They all written by same author, they all have their strong and weak traits, nobody is perfect, it was author choice to made them like this.
