Right now LLTG very popular, and I think Tencent understand that if they postpone second part, it can decrease hype. Of course if they really didn't finish editing, they will no have other choice. I think answer is LBY not that nice)))) I mean in novel its quite dark character, scheming and domineering. Wu Lei also said similar things (he even said that now modern people can call him toxic/unhealthy), drama tried made his character much more lighter. At first he didn't make to more moves for SS, because he wasn't actually sure he want be with her or no (because his revenge the most important thing in his life, and he didn't plan in love or marry anyone), but I think later when he almost lost her, because of LY, he rethink his priorities and that time decide get her no matter what, you can see after tower incident, he purposely hold her hand when Emperor came in.
I don't think any what he does its out of character, because person who so murderous and cold, domineering with his soldiers and everyone else, also who has such horrible experience as kid, impossible can be perfect in relationship, especially if you look at it from modern perspective. As I understand he will slowly learn how love and take care for SS.
