Yep, I also can't take that drama seriously because of it, and for me CGI, decorations in AOL was very beautiful (especially for cdrama at 2018), there also was many scene in nature. But there even in first episode demon king from AOL with same costume and wig!!! I mean how lazy should be to just copy past whole character ☹️ I have hopes for Longest Promise, from trailer production looks amazing

Im artist and have my own aesthetic preferences😅 just some colors background didn't feels right and looks cheap, lightening also , did you watch ALP it's not my favorite drama, but from all xianxias there right now has best one production quality , or just look new trailer from Longest promise

Yep, but look like LLTG really great adaptation, I saw almost all novel fans love it, but WRTW totally changed the story

I'm maybe too biased, but I love Jinmi soooo much, I mean even in first episodes where she super naive all her acting so delicate and detailed, and especially in mortal arc where she was so real and sincere. There no overacting, no scream. And now I watching her just screaming during 3 episodes 🥺

I want wait their mortal arc air, and try again, I like idea of demon and demon hunter, and also hope that without that horrible CGI on background it will looks better

I love YZ very very much, she actress because of whom I watch cdrama, AOL my ultimate comfort drama, and during this years at some very bad period of time it helps me a lot, also GGS and this year amazing OOL... I was very excited about IS, but now I feel youku did YZ dirty, It looks like they got such huge stars as YZ and CY so no need to really care about anything else, for example:

1. CGI and decorations, color grading, production quality look very cheap, it's okay when it's some small budget project, but S+?? There such amazing example as ALP or Longer Promise trailer looks much more high quality.. I just don't understand it is quality of 2022 S+ drama with huge stars?

2. YZ hairstyle, make up and clothes, YZ very beautiful actress, but seriously can they put more efforts to justify her beauty? just look how gorgeous she looks in Psychologist and OOL. And also horrible wigs (especially Yimo and YY), only CY white hair looks very good.

3. Directing, again I like YZ because her acting is very detailed, she can show a lot of mixed emotions at the same time, but all she does is run wildly open eyes and overacting , other characters, except YY very flat

4. The story, looks like a mix of AOL and LAR, the same actors in similar costumes, and the same tropes...

I feel so frustrated, because there almost no YZ dramas in recent years, next one will probably 1 year later, for me YouKu just think if took some traffic famous actors + many kisses, it's enough, no need put efforts in production, fresh story , interesting costumes, because fans anyway will watch it.
I'm sorry if my opinion is not good, I'm happy you all enjoy it. I just feel that drama can be 10000 times better, but not. Of course I will not put any bad rating on it, I always respect YZ.
