I've been a fan of Victoria during her f(x) [kpop group] days and I know she definitely looks like her age but what's with the ageist comments here???? I wanted to start watching this for both DYX and Victoria but seems like I need to let this series marinate a bit more so I would know more opinions in the storyline.

EP1 and we already got some slapstick comedy. 😂😂😂😭😭😭 I thought this was going to be some serious type of drama.

right. She wouldn't never chosen Hong Ye to be her life partner. She was sure about the mask guy but she rejected Hong He's feelings when she wasn't aware of who the Mask guy really is. if she had any choice of falling in love to a different guy or if Hong Ye and the mask guy were 2 different person, she would've really gone with the mask guy.. That person was funny (maybe), "cocky" and carefree.. Something she loved about him.. Hong Ye's identify as a Wangquan though is truly a pressure.

I literally said this too in my comment. A huge part of all of Fu Gui's suffering now was because of Huaizhu's plan. She was the one who initiated the Soldier project for their alliance. She mentioned it that when willing, a Dongfang woman can transfer her powers to her child. She mentioned it multiple times to Hongye that their child will be the strongest of them all.

I actually see it as Hong Ye being like that before during LIP. If he didnt meet Huaizhu, he would still be this self righteous person. Huaizhu kept him in check but I guess the Hong Ye we see now was a combination of who he was before Huaizhu + the grief that came after everyone died. He saw his emotions as weakness which he didnt want Fu Gui to have. And it also pisses me off big time.

Fu Gui really got his mom's personality and principles.. Rewatching Love in Pavillion (while also waiting for new episodes of this), You can really see Huaizhu and now her son, Fu Gui both had such strong empathy towards everyone (not just humans but to demons and beasts too).. Good thing Fu Gui did not inherit his father's beliefs and principles.

iz Zhang QI some sort of a villain????? I'm wondering.

right. so I am curious how the heck is this Zhang QI born.. one thought in mind was he was adopted even before the battle stuff happened but knowing Zhang Zheng then, I don't think kids were something he wanted especially adopted ones.

p.s. and why is every male character here almost in love or in a relationship with demons? 😭😭😭 This Zhang person, is he a descendant maybe or adopted who assumed the Zhang surname? that's something I want to knkw
