it really went from "so bad it's good" to "let's do that same scene 5 times but a little different cause we rented this bar for 2 days and we don't know what else to do with it" to "it's so bad it's good' again. this is exactly what i signed up for.
halfway through ep 1 and it's exactly as bad as the poster, the description and the rating made me hope it to be. man i can tell this will be a masterpiece.
well it was a show that falls in line with regular produce shows aka ... it's probs not crazy authentic. i'll be on the lookout for where the rest ends up! (also, i thought ald1 was bad but what is this name??)
idk why these shows even try to hint at being inclusive when eventually it just makes them look worse cutting everyone out that doesn't fit the mold (aka calling it shinsekai yet having 10 japanese members and 2 koreans).
i would consider this one pretty formulaic for a horror story, but nothing wrong with that. it was generally executed fairly well. it has some pretty good gross scenes (though the cgi is ... not great)! my biggest issue is the pacing at the end. they just kinda dump the conclusion on you.
i really wanted to like this one, cause i love transmigration and i wanted to get back into a funny kdrama, but i really lost all interest by ep 8. the moment i started watching at 2x speed i should have known it was over :(
i did end up watching it and tbh i kinda enjoyed it in a 'i don't have to think and just enjoy the ride' kinda way. there were also some really cute scenes. but yeah, you can definitely see the company was just "we got hot guys and gals and we don't do well with plot soooo sex will have to do" lol
at least the sex scenes were decent? i didn't cringe and laugh nearly as much as like with bed friends for example.
it's not bad, but not great either. it's a female rage/revenge story but the motivations behind it all aren't the most believable. the mc really chose the wrong victims for the viewers to really care about the trajectory of this plot. tbh, just changing that would have made this so much better.
the kills are creative and exactly what you would want from a horror like this, though. if you don't care about plot, this could still be a good watch.
it's a chinese webdrama. my bar for these are on the floor. how did it still disappoint??? gaozheng, please be a bit more picky with your drama choices. just how big are your debts that you take shows like these. is your company holding you hostage and forcing this on you? are you okay?? please take a vacation instead next time you get a script this bad presented to you.
this really isn't as bad as a lot of these comments are making it out to be, it's just for a certain audience. tbh, if i have to compare this to sunset x vibes or big dragon (the second half, cause it started off pretty good), then this was way easier and more enjoyable to watch.
i also really expected this to have more cooking in it seeing as pooh became known for being on masterchef, but i'm not complaining. (i hate cooking in shows.)
maybe it's that my expectations were in the gutter so this was a happy, fluffy, brain-is-on-standby, kinda show.
I love the original story which is why i pushed this off for so long, i expected to be disappointed. and here I am: disappointed. I don't mind changes being made, but they changed major parts, taking away so much of the original charm. it somehow became an empty shell. the counselor/tutor arc?? it's so important I feel and they just brushed past it like that wasn't needed character and relationship development. it's crazy how they handled that. after that, I gave up on thinking I could truly enjoy this series.
maybe I would have liked this more if I hadn't just re-read the manga lol
i swear a sign of a bad show is when they spend half their time eating when the plot has nothing to do with food. how low on content do you have to be???
i'll rue the day a plot is introduced.
this is exactly what i signed up for.
as a lover of all things trash ... GIMME.

dan is the biggest fucking simp, though.
that's it. those are my feelings.
