RIP. If the cancer was cured in 2020 then returned, could he have gotten an experimental injection that made the issue worse?

Most young people bought into the official narratives from "governments" throughout history. Anti-establishment are often seen as suspicious, since there's a fine line between groupthink and a societal unity based on an organic consensus (not manipulated by government/media.)

Two huge plot holes/implausibilities/impossibilities that took this from maybe a 9/10 to a 6.5/10 for me. I HATE…
There's a scene in Ayano's Let's Go Karaoke that's played like a new version of The Lady Eve. He also packed more details than ever into Tokyo Swindlers. If this is even better, wow.

Wealth gap that impacts the younger generation adversely comes down to devaluation of currency (increase of money supply). It's government's monetary policy. It's why actor Kanata Hongo said savings in gold and precious metals is important because the yen is doomed.

Ayano is the perfect actor to play Osamu Dazai in No Longer Human. Instead, he got to play pinku film director or other assorted sleazeballs.

This film was clearly inspired by Iwai Shunji's 'Picnic' though Picnic was darker and more gut-wrenching.
The source novel was published in 1994, the year Picnic was shot. Who knows?

Way more engaging than PICU. Go Ayano handles the ridiculous sensationalism of "mad pianist" to a believable human with his hands full. Dr. Storks > PICU, just as Let's Go Karaoke! > Babanbabanban Vampire:P

I guess the biggest issue that kept me from this drama was Ayano Go's hair in the poster. It just didn't vibe…
Babyfaced? It works!

A tricky role for Ayano to pull off as well as he did. The subtexts are more ambiguous than, say, Kikujiro's Summer.

Kotaro has to be one of the best fictional kids ever. The 2 series work a bit like reverse Dickens (no child exploitation), come to think about it.

After EPS 2, if we keep the "possessed by Beat Takeshi" meme going -- Gannibal is basically Yagira's Violent Cop!

As a superfan of Mr Nietzsche, seeing Mamiya/Sato interact just kept me fed. Sato brings out the best in Mamiya as he's more expressive than in other works. This could be an entry in Tales of the Bizarre hosted by Tamori, ie. keep your expectations low in terms of adaptation.
