bruh idk what is going on but im 8 eps in now and the character do nottt feel real to me yet. very intrigued by the backstory though and i want to know more about this flower branding thing
this drama lowkey looks like it was filmed and edited like 6 years ago. i've watched 3 eps so far and some things are kind of off, like the editing and pacing of some scenes is fast. idk if its just because im just getting to know these characters but the acting feels kind of shallow. i think it's gonna get much better though so im sticking it through.
in ep 16, im still confused why did tianyao’s sword came to him willingly? (he mentioned abt his feelings for…
super late reply but my understanding was: one needs to be pure of heart to wield the sword. up till he acknowledged his feelings for yanhui, he was blinded by hatred and resentment. he refused to look within himself and let his true feelings come out and was only looking to pursue revenge. but once he gives yanhui the 9 stars in his mind's eye, not only does he finally become more true to himself and let himself feel love, the sword also realizes that he needs the sword not to hurt other people, but to protect one person.
had such a great start, ending was meh, but honestly im starting to get used to these kinds of ending in c-historicals. wish neo could've done more acting wise in this drama, but outside of that, such a good CP. im going to miss them!
you get it omg!!! i haven't been able to enjoy a kdrama in a really long time and these are a lot of the reasons why. i've watched like 200+ shows and it's so rare i find something new and interesting to watch these days! i've since turned to cdramas since they're something different. so many kdramas follow the exact same plot, romcoms turn into serial killer mysteries, all the characters and tropes are the same, and the same actors are in like every show. hope they grow out of this and come back with new worthwhile shows!
okay can i be so for real for a second? the fucking plotline with the murderous gardener was pulled out for way too long. and hong jo breaking up with sin yu for his own good like 3 separate times just got to be too much. i think we could've avoided this repetitiveness if the episodes were cut down to 12 instead of 16. i also think we could've avoided it if they had continued with the spell plotline properly throughout the show. like steps for sure could've been taken. regardless i somehow still loved this drama so much. the historical timeline got me so bad, like they really did that so well. honestly i was impressed that this drama was this good without it being an adaptation. i feel like every single drama that comes out these days is adapted from a webtoon, so when i started enjoying this, i was like huh i wonder what this is based off of. lowkey proud of this screenwriter for doing their job.
I feel satisfied and unsatisfied at the same time. 😅. I mean I like the happy ending, but I feel like they…
i agree the ending could've been explained more. and yes omg i would've loved a scene where everyone sat down and ate together, drinking and laughing with one another 🥺
