the whole point of this show is literally a feud if you cant handle misunderstandings simply dont watch it, if you think its stretched out and couldve been resolved between a simple talk you wouldnt last a day in this type of situation. Anyways that plot twist in ep 20 was insane i didnt expect that

The emperor seems to have been based on Ming dynasty emperor Jiajing who was obsssed with drinking immortality…
i personally dont pay attention to the older people casted in dramas so ive never really bothered to notice if hes in other dramas i watch, but i can tell he can be imposing when supposed to, but i just think its this role that should’ve gone to someone who can be good at performing weak roles cus he sounds like hes not trying at all in this role. Although hes acting weak and immortality obsessed we’ve also never seen anything about him so theres no confirmation about that whatsoever, unless this is adapted from a novel that explains his role specifically.

its not actually wuji its just similar instrumental considering the fact theyre using a flute, maybe when you get to the part you’ll also hear it
