100% agreed, in fact I feel the brotherhood framing makes the storyline significantly more nuanced and profound, the ML relationship reminds me of the brothers in Move to Heaven

I think that’s actually a big reason people seem to hate Pi-Oh - his presentation and words often belies his true heart, as evidenced by most of the times he actually helped others (e.g. instead of making a scene of it he just quietly did it behind the scenes, expecting no credit) . If I recall literally right after that interview he called Martin for updates on JeongYo.
And if you think about it too, that was probably the most uncomfortable question Pi-Oh could have been asked in that interview given what he was going through and 100% makes sense he either froze up or just didn’t want to dwell on it

People give Pi-Oh way too much hate, he literally saved JeongYo from being expelled, from being beaten by the loan sharks, helped him get over his stage fright, etc. honestly in their early years he was probably as good (or even a better) friend to JeongYo than the reverse, all this on top of his completely f-ed up family and the other adults treating him like crap
