Here comes an adorable PSA ~
Watching this, I found the story quite wholesome slowly going through the basic responsibilities of the guide dog while addressing the hesitancy of someone whose recently losing their vision being dependent on someone else. It allows us to envision and engage with the reality of a visually impaired person being able to follow their dreams alongside others.I did find the female lead's characterization insensitive in some parts, but the message of the drama overshadowed that. I wouldn't say not to watch the drama cause of that. In fact, her obstinancy drives the plot forward and pushes the visually impaired male lead to live his life, confidently, without any restrictions.
Definitely an idealistic drama, however, an educational and wholesome one that convinces us that guide dogs are excellent and empowering supports for those visually impaired.

Aesthetic, intriguing, needs a trigger warning
Editing was not friendly to someone like me, with minor sensory issues, so I wanted to post this review to share that the flashing white cuts between conversation in the chat rooms were distracting and made my eyes ache. It was better to not pay attention to the chats and transitions between scenes, but I found that I could not follow the story well because of this. If you're prone to seizures, or migraines, I would skip it.Still, I enjoyed the film's theme that associates the love that one has for a musician/music as some kind of escape from reality, leading to disassociation from real world actions and consequences. Not sure what the exact name for this aesthetic is, but the mixing of technology and nature in the editing made for a unique and intriguing experience especially with the reveal as to who the protagonist was talking to in the chat rooms.
Note, I ended up watching this over two days, and it was hard to follow. I found that reading other reviews afterwards jogged my memory of key plot points, so despite a pretty film with a touch of romanticism, it was a very complex film with some arguably unnecessary plot points. Sometimes, we don't need to see all that in one film.

Healing story disguised as age gap
Want to get back to what you love, but afraid it won't be the same? In this film, both protagonists have similar struggles that push them towards each other, but thank God they have life support. The female protagonist ignores her passion for track after an accident, and the male protagonist has a creative block. That pause creates chaos, but also pushes them forward to discover what they want and need most. Watch for the natural acting, the recovery process of a former runner, and the beautiful metaphors. Was this review helpful to you?

Biased manga reader reviews:
The film version effectively succeeds at building the melodrama of an awkward and stilted family relationship between a niece and estranged aunt after her parents' death. I found many parts charming, making the messy parts of becoming familiar and closer to one another when your worlds are very far apart an enjoyable experience. I do feel the manga did this better, nonetheless, I loved seeing the same characters come to life on the screen.Note, not all parts from the original series were adapted to screen, but understandable considering the run time, and the original story being very character focused, introspective and full of internal conflicts. Watch this film without expecting that you'll be watching what's in the manga come to life exactly as you would like, but do so for the sweet moments of trying to understanding worlds that are much different from your own, the focus here being disassembling the child's view of what being a grown-up means.
