Maybe ? It's more of an enemies to lovers trope so it's kinda a slow burn in terms of feelings (at least for the FL considering her "psychopathic tendencies") but I think the leads have really great chemistry together, you can try the first 2 episodes to give you a better idea on their dynamics :)
I just completed the first season, and I don't understand why Mrs Lee Han Gyeong is listed in the cast as main role if she resigned at the end of ep 10...? Honestly I don't even know why they chose to include this extra scene it wasn't very exciting ^^' Well I guess we'll see ! Can't wait for season 2 anyway !
I liked it ! The chemistry was there, acting was great, I didn't get bored once overall it was a really fun ride ! But I think the plot was a little confusing at times, the subtitles were weird also, sometimes I couldn't quite understand the meaning of what they were saying lol. Anyway I really love those types of reincarnation stories, and the enemies to lovers trope in itself, also the fact that the whole tragic past is revealed later in the story always works for me (well in a fantasy setting at least) The religion thing didn't bother me personally but I can understand why it might be a touchy subject for others. I feel like the last 2 episodes were a little all over the place, but still I think it was a satisfying conclusion to this story, considering the context. In the end, I think she got to reincarnate as a genie because her "punishment" was finally over, so she could be truly herself without being an outcast, the grandma also had to work very hard to bring back the ML, so why not I guess ? I just have one question : Why did the FL still have scars on her face etc if she died after the wolves' attack when she was young ? I feel like I didn't fully understand that part of the plot.
Did Hae Gang go to jail? Because he says "I spent all three years in there planning this."
I think so yeah ! He also asked his "dad" to watch over their family while he was gone, so it seems he went of his own accord ? I don't really understand why though
I agree with you, I don't feel the chemisty at all !! So sad because I love the actors (well especially Seo In…
Yeah that is too bad because it was really promising ! I will surely try her other works one of these days, she did do her best here with what she was given... I only saw her in Love all play I think and she was really good as an "antagonist" !
I was so excited for the show in the start, I told my friends to watch it because it seemed to be serving good…
I agree with you, I don't feel the chemisty at all !! So sad because I love the actors (well especially Seo In Guk, I didn't see much of the actress's other works yet) but I had to drop it after ep 7, it was too bland for me... And I don't feel the "sunshine" personality of the FL at all, apart from the scene in the supermarket where she stumbles upon the ML in her pyjamas, buying 10 different ice cream sticks (this scene was relatively funny) , otherwise she just seems miserable and clearly doesn't have that "sun" energy that the ML apparently fell in love with... I understand she has her own issues etc but even the ML doesn't do it for me, too robotic and he barely acts different with her now that they're together... :( I wish it had a little more "whimsy" I guess
Did they forget they were trying to make a villian from the extra?? what is her backstory? why did she do that…
It was meant to be 16 episodes I think, so they scrapped some scenes to make it 12, unfortunately... But I agree that her sudden change was very surprising, they should have included 1 line or something in the first part of the drama so the viewer could find her suspicious already
really negative comments herelike damnI came here to say that this was a 9.5/10 for meabsolutely loved it (the…
I agree with you, I don't understand why people are so disappointed by this drama, it's a romcom and it did its job; even if it wasn't perfect, it was still very entertaining and the leads were incredible together
this show is a mess and yet somehow I had a ridiculously good time watching it???Like listen, if you start pulling…
I already wrote a review but you perfectly summarized my thoughts in a funnier way !! This couple is so much fun honestly, they remind me why I love watching kdramas so much because this kind of chemistry is truly one of a kind !
I hate that I end up watching spoilers ("previews") of the next episode because I'm afraid I'll miss an…
Oh my, why am I only discovering this now ?? T-T I think I saw only two of the epilogues because they were directly after the "ending" of the episodes lol like you I skipped the previews because I didn't want to watch spoilers, anyway thank you for your comment , I'm gonna re watch each episode's ending now !
I don't know if it was already discussed here but I really wished we got more scenes of the main leads when they were in school because you mean to tell me their only interaction at that time were during the tournament / training ? T-T I thought it would also be revealed that the ML was already in love with the FL during that time, or at least interested in her ...? I don't know, I really like when it is revealed that a character had a secret cruch for so long (like in Lovely runner I guess ?) But now it seems unlikely, I think I saw too many kdramas lol In any case, I am very excited for the last 2 episodes and I'm so glad I waited that long before watching ! I just hope the ending won't be too rushed...
EDIT : Okay so it seems that I missed some "important" epilogues lol, it is indeed made clear the ML was already interested in her since their high school days, so I'm even more happy now !
What’s the point of having two main leads with incredible chemistry, and writing their scenes to seem romantic,…
Haha I agree with you, I know romance isn't gonna happen between them (apart from the "crush" that James seems to have on Eunsoo, at least before ep 7/8 lol now he has bigger problems to concern himself with) but their chemistry is so so good !! T-T Maybe in another life... I honestly didn't expect to like this drama so much, it's very interesting ! I hope the ending will be satisfactory at least
I just finished the drama and I have some questions : do we know what happened to the "original" Kang Bitna in the end ? I remember that she was attacked by those lions in Hell but she managed to escape I think, did she go to heaven then...? Also, I quite don't understand why the killings from "J" stopped for 25 years and then it started again with the police officer (Da Oh's second mom) ? Like why ? Because Satan had all body parts I think at this point when Bitna discovers the secret magical room ? But why wait for 25 years then ? Like I know that the stone was hidden by the son, so Satan couldn't complete the ritual or whatever but then why did he kill the police officer and cut her arm off ? I feel like I missed something during my watch but I can't figure it out.... ^^'
