A cute little slice of life!!! But that ending :(

This drama gave me some feels because I can relate to how the relationship progressed since my first relationship was somewhat similar.

You start off with a transfer student and a goofball that doesn't seem to have many friends. They meet and instantly feel somewhat of a connection that they don't seem to understand as time moves on in the series, they start to fall for each other thru interaction with each other, guidance from others and a love rival that was clearly not a rival.

If you like the slice of life format this series just might click with you, I will say thou if you're not a fan of slow-moving dramas that might be a slight deterrent for you.

Overall, it's a great series that has a slow progression just be wary of the dreaded open ending.

If we never get a 2nd season, I will have to most likely, consider this a loss for me in BL. I understand why some stories have open endings, but I also don't like it. If the series had just closed with them going to the store and CUE THE CREDITS, I would have already rated this higher. Unfortunately to many shorter bls are made to end with a huge cliffhanger and its sad because if season 2 never gets green lit this series will go from pretty cute altogether to ohh that series with the horrible ending yeah that one.

Confusing story with a time paradox thrown in!!

PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE SERIES

First off, this series will make the viewer think you're watching two different couples. On one hand you have Thana and Patis or P as I like to call him. Two adult men in love whose relationship spins like a twister from start to finish. On the other hand, you have Ryou and Mai two young boys figuring out who they are what they like with a ton of surprises in between.

Middle of the story you have Thana and P going thru secrets and cheating and separation due to the later. Ryou and Mai are starting to fall for each other but having lots of confusion on what they want due to them having little to no experience and being young school boys.

By the end of the series Patis/Thana are reconnecting by not knowing who the other is essentially and Ryou and Mai are back together in Patis/Thanas old apartment.

Pros to the series:
Ryou and Mai have a good story thought the series
The two couples share the series time equally
All couples technically end up back together in the end of the series
The show didn't dilly dally with parts of the story it continuously progressed

Cons to the series:
The couples didn't deserve the gotten back together ending they got it happened thru the greed of one caused by the other
The relationship was genuine but at the same time superficial and supernatural
Dena is a super mean person who went from super jealous problem causer to ruining everyone's lives with a time paradox
Ryou and Mai's story in the last episode goes from great to God damn awful
If you don't pay attention to the small details in the series, you will not realize the meaning of everything that happened in the finale.
You don't find out till episode 5 that Patis the one everyone feels sorry for the entire series is actually the person who ruined two peoples lives.
Thana and Patis' relationship *end of story. period. the worst thing about this series*

My closing paragraph is instead going to be a sentence.

Isn't it funny in that what most people find to be the greatest thing about the series Ryou and Mai's relationship
is actually the thing people hate most about the series Thana and Patis' relationship.

toxic relationship or depiction of real life or both!!!

Many people express this series as a toxic relationship, but if you really think about it the creator of this series is just giving an example of real-life.

One of the biggest problems in society these days is people have trouble with communication. Everything is a touch of a button on a mobile device or a swipe to the left or right so to speak. once people are face to face, they often don't know how to express themselves they because they can't just hit a button and show the other person their happy, they have to say it or show it which is where the lack of communication comes in. When people can't express how they feel or fear they might come off in the wrong way it causes miscommunication.

This series that appears as a toxic one-sided relationship is actually a depiction of the struggles people go thru in life with each other when neither side knows how to express their feelings leading to frustration anxiety and misunderstanding. This series shows how people express these frustrations and anxieties in different ways.

To anyone looking for a lovey dovey show please skip this one.
If anyone is looking for the pure emotional side of ups and downs in a relationship, please watch.

extremely well done with subtle flaws. "with some spoilers"

City of stars is a well-done interesting series featuring new leads to the industry that performed like they've done it before.

The story is about a Thai citizen who has been living in America working for a company that designed an app called Zendaya which is focused on positivity in the community, who meats a famous Thai actor when he vacations back home in Thailand.

The story was somewhat fresh, even knowing its trope was definitely not. They explored the rich wealthy famous guy getting with the common everyday guy in a way that differs from the norm. Instead of the common lifestyle character chasing after the man he adores as a celebrity, the celebrity is the one who has fallen in love at first sight. So, unlike the norm the roles are slightly reversed in this series. Which can be seen as refreshing.

Likes ~
The couple had chemistry
The story was cute at many points
Funny moments were great
The love
The story didn't follow the tropes norm
There was no dreaded break up around episode 10 and 11 that most BL's love to throw in
The love between the couples
The realism ~ unlike many BL's the way things went down and were handled were done in a realistic I can relate to that kind of way
The main couple COMMUNICATED

Dislikes ~
The story could have had a better flow to it as this series could have been a 50 minute long 6 to 10-episodes and done just as well on the couples while still being able to capture the audience on the lvl it did at many times.
The annoying sound effects thrown in at times where they didn't make sense (mainly first half of series)
Using voice overs to explain a part in the story (50/50 on this one some of the voiceover's were the characters inner thoughts which are acceptable to a point)
The series had moments where you couldn't tell if the character was dreaming or if it was their reality (mainly first half of series)
This last one is more of a personal one that being the next episode previews kind of worked too hard to make us think OMG BIG DRAMA NEXT EPISODE for it to be absolutely nothing like what was teased.
