liked your review! just the part where they presumably got inspired by Stranger Things might be misleading in wording as it might be the only source material that comes to mind for you but korean folklore about the spirit world derive (amongst others) from Buddhism and ancient shamanism are way older than Stranger Things or those other shows mentioned and can be dated back as far as the Three Kingdoms Period (57BC-668 AD) and solidified more in the Joseon Dynasty which lasted til 1910. Lovecraft's works came later than that. So if there is an inspiration it could rather be the other way around in a way

Even though the ratings are low I'll give this a try. It's the legend on which one of my favorite mangas/anime is based on Ayashi No Ceres. This legend is so interesting!
