the audacity of yake is literally making me speechless. like??? if tingyun wasn't saved she would have been dead because of yake's actions. and here she is acting like the ultimate victim??? screw this girl seriously
it really feels like some of you watch dramas just to stare at your favourite actors and don't care about the plot at all. i like ding yuxi and i thought that his screentime in these four (!!!!!) episodes made sense. the initial episodes focused on establishing fl's family dynamic and the characters surrounding it. i do not understand why some people act as if the whole drama barely had yuxi in it. it only started airing. and from where we are in the story right now, it's obvious that he will have more scenes now. hopefully people will now stop complaining about screentime and focus on the actual story being told.
What did he do in ep 19? I watched the preview where he fought crown prince
after the fight, he tried to expose the Crown Prince's real abilities to the emperor and when that didn't work out the way he intended, he begged the emperor to break CP and Xihe's engagement. in general, he is delusional and thinks that xihe is his wife and so the Crown Prince can't marry her bc HE is already married to her.
The first kiss scene was so beautiful aesthetically. I mean they looked soo pretty in that scene but I wish that…
felt the same. aesthetically speaking, it's a very pretty scene and the music tries to make it romantic but all i could think of was that she was struggling against him and he was forcing her :) wish their first kiss happened under different circumstances
I think that if they included more scenes of Ian and Jeongwoo being friends, then the betrayal would have been more impactful. We are constantly told that they're friends, that they've been friends for years, but when we see them together in scenes, they are tense and jealous of one another. I did not find their friendship believable and so Ian's conviction that Jeongwoo was trustworthy even when Huiju started having doubts was kind of ridiculous. Maybe if we saw some flashbacks depicting them pre-Huiju then this situation could have hit more. Their confrontation scene in the finale was well-acted but ultimately empty - at least for me - since we never got to see their friendship. So it read more like "the prime minister tried to kill me" rather than "someone I thought was one of my closest friends tried to kill me".
god li huaian pissed me off in this episode. he showed up, saw changyu barely able to walk and thought, "ah, yes, but how do I make it all about myself? how do I make myself to be the biggest victim?" screw this guy
I desperately need Snow Kong and Deng Kai in a different drama as leads because their chemistry is crazy and I want to be able to ship them without regrets lol
the birthday party was adorable but i feel like it's too little too late. also, maybe it's just me but i wouldn't invite my almost-ex-boyfriend and boss to my nephew's birthday. like why is he even there. and giving him such a big entrance? he should have arrived with other co-workers. but no, even in the final episode the writer had to put the spotlight on him instead.... sigh
