S1 went downwards so quick. The chemistry wasn't there, the cases were boring with the FL always winning. Barely…
She was winning because of the help she received. It wasn't solely because she's smart or a "legacy" lawyer. She won because more senior lawyers helped her or she got a tip. I won't say give it another shot because we all dislike things that others liked. Like I might get flack for disliking Moon River and liking To My Beloved Thief.
Yes, her clothing made her not listen to the jester. Oh, come on. Where did I type that I was forced to watch the drama? I really like dramas where cooks/chefs make cool-looking meals. I saw this and thought I was going to have another drama to enjoy. Again, the cooking scenes were great, but the overall show wasn't. I still hold firm that this show needed 16 episodes, or at least start the wrap-up in episode 10 or 11. BAYM had bad writing and pacing.
Actors and actresses (or their team does, I'm not really sure how all that works) CHOOSE their projects. If she keeps choosing bad, according to me, projects, then I'm allowed to skip them, rate them poorly (if I watch), or whatever else I want to do.
Okay, sure, but was it good? Why did the FL become dumb over the course of the show? She went from I know so much because I'm from 2025 to I forgot how to listen and run when the jester said, "Molly...you in danger, girl!" Plus, did that explanation about the queen (his mom) make sense? I may have to put Lim Yoon A on my hit list. She was cute in Confidential Assignment 1; I don't remember her from A Year-End Medley; I really liked Exit (so rewatchable); I dropped Hush; Big Mouth had so many problems; King the Land was bad too; and then this. Lhm, I don't think I'll be able to trust a show or movie if she's leading it. Ugh, this show could've been awesome! I love cooking dramas (now, the cooking scenes in BAYM were amazing...the food, the descriptions, the emotions...and that's why I gave this show a 3.5 rating). Last, this show needed a full 16 episodes, because wrapping up everything in episode 12 is always going to be sloppy.
She's memorable in every role. Dressed to the 9s in Her Private Life. AIGOOOOOOOOOOO (like how she said it in Prison Playbook)! Funny drunk in Crash Landing on You. Smooth talker and matchmaker in Hospital Playlist (S01). Running thangs in Concrete Utopia LIKE A BOSS!
