Why ppl assume Yang Yang fans this and that? Do you really know them? Yang Yang did great kissing scene in Once Upon A Time with Liu Yifei. Even in Love O2O, Yang Yang still did a good job no matter how off the FL was. Like you said, he's professional. There's no need to fiction his thought while kissing Reba.
Shipping characters in a drama is fine, while shipping actor/actress in real life is a little over. Yang Yang and Reba have already worked on other drama and collaborated with other ppl. Once they said good-bye to their characters, they were not Yu Tu and Jing Jing any more.

It's the story and Sun Honglei that make this drama a hit. Crime investigation drama is very popular in China. Guan Zai's actor Pan Yueming's drama Day and Night was a huge hit in history. BTW, CC is aired on three TV stations, which means the viewer pool is much larger than drama that is online only. YAMG is online only and it's already very successful as a modern romance/profession drama.

Love O2O has 0.9B view count each episode. It's extremely high and probably the highest view count ever in history. When we talk about view count, we count each episode not the entire drama, as some drama has 100 episodes, some only 20 or 30. I remember Love O2O only has 30 eps.

If you are talking about the plot, I'm fine with the changes. I'll copy what I wrote on the King's Avatar page: TV version didn't 100% follow the novel, but I'm totally fine with it, and I would say I love most of the changes in the drama. Ye Xiu became my NO.1 fav in the league because of the TV adaption. He replaced the NO.1 position of Sun Zheping and Zhang Jiale in my heart, who were my favs when I was reading the novel.

He graduated from one of the two top dancing schools in China, and he was also the top student there. I was totally speechless when watching the video above. The performance has a name--Dandelion.
