Yes, I can include it among the better films of this country, so much tested in the past by the immense poverty that was already sown by the Spanish colonizers of the time and perfected by the Americans. On the other hand, this country is the only island of Christianity in the sea of Buddhism, Taoism and Islam that is coming from the south, many inhabitants have parts of words or whole Spanish words in their names and speak completely differently than the surrounding countries, including the fact that they speak a second language after filipino and tagalog is filipino english. The film gave me a lot, but it has already shown the ravages of time. What I appreciate most is the conveyance of that time, poverty, lack of law and crime, solid acting. The story isn't bad either. It is worse with the feeling itself, the perception of the whole story, because I only had a very bad copy at my disposal, otherwise it would certainly be much deeper.
So goodbye, Julio and Ligayo (the actors of the main characters are still alive today).



"Nejlepší filipínský film všech dob". Tak to už dle mě dávno neplatí. Ano, mohu jej zařadit mezi ty lepší filmy této země, tolik v minulosti zkoušené nesmírnou chudobou, kterou už zaseli tehdejší španělští kolonizátoři a dokonali Američané. Na druhé straně ale tento stát je jediným ostrovem křesťanství v moři buddhismu, taoismu a z jihu se ne něj valícího islámu, mnozí obyvatelé mají ve svých jménech slovní části a nebo celá slova španělská a mluví úplně jinak, než okolní země včetně toho, že druhým jazykem po filipínštině a tagalogštině je filipínská angličtina. Film mi dal hodně, ale už se na něm projevil zub času. Nejvíce si vážím zprostředkování tehdejší doby, chudoby, nedostatku práva a zločinnosti, solidních hereckých výkonů. Příběh také není špatný. Horší je to se samotným pocitem, vnímáním celého příběhu, neboť jsem měl k dispozici jen velmi špatnou kopii, jinak by byl jistě daleko hlubší.

I think they've matured even more as actors, especially the manly Max (Tan), who also became a wonderful symphony, perhaps even because they finally "brushed" off his forehead (in addition, the battles in his performance were convincing, no "just like"), Tul (Bun) was cute as always, it just bothered me a little bit how the Thai hairdressers made him stiff with the combing, but that's beside the point.
The overall quality is very high, I appreciate that they were no longer the "little boys" from freshman year at university.
The story is a bit long and overcombined. The first major erotic rapprochement between Tan and Bun in the seventh volume is so convincing, wonderful, and at the same time there is no need for big erotic scenes, that I haven't seen anything like it for a long time ...
If I remember this series, it will not be the shooting games and the complexity of the plot, but the almost perfect main pair of young men will always come to mind as dominant, both acting and appearance ... so I leave this review with the words of Buna Tan: " you smell beautiful" ...

Po hlavních rolích v Together With Me dostali Max a Tul možnost se ujmout hlavních rolí tohoto žánrem zcela odlišného seriálu. Myslím, že herecky ještě více vyspěli, především mužný Max (Tan), ze kterého se navíc stal úžasný sympoš, možná už i tím, že mu konečně "odčesali" afinku z čela (navíc ty bitky v jeho provedení byly přesvědčivé, žádné "jen jako"), Tul (Bun) byl roztomilý jako vždycky, jen mi trošku vadilo to, jak ho ti thajští vlásenkáři prznili tím česáním, ale to je nepodstatné.
Celková kvalita velice vysoká, oceňuji, že už to nebyli "malí chlapečci" z prváku na univerzitě.
Příběh trošku zdlouhavý a překombinovaný. První větší erotické sblížení Tana a Buna v sedmém díle je tak přesvědčivé, nádherné, a přitom nemusí dojít k velkým erotickým scénám, že jsem podobné dlouho neviděl ...
Pokud si vzpomenu na tento seriál, tak to nebudou střílečky a komplikovanost děje, ale vždy se mi jako dominantí vybaví téměř dokonalá hlavní dvojice mladých mužů, a to jak herecky, tak zjevem ... takže se loučím s touto recenzí slovy Buna Tanovi: "voníš nádherně" ...

Love is kind. Love doesn't always have happy endings. Love hurts sometimes. And luck ...?... it has a limit.

I don't think this series is a fairy tale (it doesn't end like that, it's HUMAN) and it's not really for teenagers. It's a great series for adults, not just for men who like men, untwisted, well-flowing, no frills, no Asian affectations, HUMAN.
I was most captivated by the fates of the characters, and apart from the memorable supporting roles, of which there were several, it was the four main characters (all four actors were 25 or 26 years old at the time of filming). They were excellently, sensitively and civilly played, portrayed, each one was different. If I had to highlight, I was most impressed by Aric Chen as Hai Quing and Charles Lin as Jimmy.
The visuals of the characters, the masks, the hairstyles, the costumes - in one word, amazing.
Anyway, I recommend it to almost all GT users, because this piece can't possibly offend anyone...


Láska je laskavá. Láska vždy nemá šťastné konce. Láska někdy bolí. A štěstí ...?... to má limit.

Myslím si, že tento seriál není žádná pohádka (ani tak nekončí, je ČLOVĚČÍ) a ani není moc pro náctileté. Je to skvělý seriál pro dospělé, a to nejen pro muže, co mají rádi muže, nevykroucený, dobře plynoucí, bez kudrlinek, bez asijských afektů, LIDSKÝ.
Nejvíce mě uchvátily osudy postav, a kromě zapamatovatelných vedlejších rolí, kterých bylo několik, to byla čtyřka postav hlavních (všichni čtyři herci v době natáčení měli 25 a nebo 26 let). Byly výborně, citlivě a civilně zahrány, vykresleny, každá byla jiná. Pokud bych měl vyzdvihnout, tak nejvíce mě zaujal Aric Chen jako Hai Quing a Charles Lin jako Jimmy.
Vizuál postav, masky, účesy, kostýmy - jedním slovem úžasné.
Každopádně doporučuji skoro všem uživatelům GT, protože toto dílko snad nemůže nikoho urazit ...

Krásný dárek od Škaredého Káčatka a Susannah v podobě titulků k tomuto novotou zářícímu taiwanskému seriálu - první sérii. Jak píše Susannah na jejich stránkách, abychom se nezapoměli podívat na úplný konec za závěrečnými titulky v posledním šestém dílu a také já nadávám a doufám, že druhá série bude rovněž tak dobrá.

An above-average work in all aspects, where the actor Jang Eui Soo in the role of Gook appealed to me the most. When the overall good impression prevails, the viewer is willing to overlook even small things that would probably be filmed differently in Europe. I recommend including the series To My Star, which was filmed by the same director.


Moc hezký korejský seriál, k jehož zhlédnutí mě přimělo vyšší hodnocení na heteráckých serverech IMDb a ČSFD, než tady (bohužel). Po všech stránkách nadprůměrné dílo, kde nejvíce mě oslovil herec Jang Eui Soo v roli Gooka. Když převáží celkový dobrý dojem, je divák ochoten přehlédnout i drobnosti, které by se třeba v Evropě natočily asi jinak. Doporučuji včetně série To My Star, kterou natočila stejná režisérka.

The characters are perfectly written and even better acted, especially the excellent acting performance of the two main representatives in civilian age of 31 and 22 years stands out.

Actor Kang Seo Joon is in trouble because he beat up his best friend, also an actor, in one of the bars. But in reality it was different and Kang doesn't remember much because he was drunk, only his friend got into a fight with a bar guest and blamed it on Kang to hurt him in public opinion and climb the popularity ladder ahead of him. The owner of the agency Kim Pil Hyun, who represents Kang, has to quickly "clean up" him from his luxury apartment to one of his rental houses in the suburbs of Seoul due to intrusive journalists for a while, and pushes him to the young tenant, an introverted, modest and order-loving chef from a bistro Han Ji Woo, who is waiting for a roommate so he doesn't have to pay such a high rent himself.

It's rare for me to look at how much is left until the end, because I wish there were many more episodes ahead of me (I have the opposite tendency with most other BL series). No unnecessary detours and running the story into curls that only delay and lead nowhere, an excellent contrast of the silent and wall-building Han and the chatty Kang with an often magical smile, who always says what he thinks and most importantly - these two beings are hit by the arrow of the most beautiful feeling in the world, what anyone and anywhere could wish for. I really enjoyed this little series. As if he wasn't even from the Philippines (except for the teacher). The story is simple, without decorative or unnecessarily delaying frills, covid-CURRENT and MODERN. Sympathetic actors, beautiful opening song (I deducted one point for the Sound because the music in the middle of the fifth and especially the fourth part is very out of tune, fake), excellent editing and processing. The credit for the great impression goes to all the actors, but especially to the two main ones - 20-year-old JC Alcantara (Mico) and 25-year-old Tony Labrusca (Xavier), born in the USA, and above all the creators themselves, who created this cute pandemic series at a minimal cost.

Moc se mi tento menší seriál líbil. Jako kdyby ani nebyl z Filipín (až na učitelku). Příběh jednoduchý, bez okrasných nebo zbytečně zdržujících kudrlinek, covidově SOUČASNÝ a MODERNÍ. Sympatičtí herci, krásná úvodní píseň (jeden bod za Zvuk jsem snížil za to, že v pátém a především čtvrtém díle je uprostřed hudba hodně rozladěná, falešná), výborný střih a zpracování. Zásluhu na skvělém dojmu mají všichni herci, ale především dva hlavní - dvacetiletý JC Alcantara (Mico) a pětadvacetiletý Tony Labrusca (Xavier), narozený v USA a především tvůrci samotní, kteří za minimalistické náklady vytvořili tento roztomilý pandemický seriálek.

I laughed with gusto many times. How to perceive this series must be in the person himself (he must understand Asia) to distinguish the subtlety of the playback here, which is brought here in a spicy form deliberately sometimes to the point of pie creation and complements the overall comic, from some other Asian productions, where naivety, the snobbery or the twistedness is too much for non-Asian viewers. Those who don't get it will condemn the series unnecessarily, but that's their business, not mine. The main thing is that everything has not slipped into a set of "western" sitcoms, when the viewer is "forced" to laugh at every stupid thing in the form of constantly imposed "laughing viewers". Here, the viewer is left with room to consider how to react. This excellent Thai part just ended in January 2021 and I can only write that it was a really nice experience.
Both main characters here are very original. A frail and youthful looking Chonlatee and a sporty type Tonhon with a chest tattoo (which has a meaning in the story - Navigator vs. Ocean). In addition to light entertainment, deeper thoughts also appear in the series, e.g. in one of the late episodes, Chonlatee's mother Nam literally flashes in an argument: "...BETTER TO BE HATED FOR WHAT YOU ARE THAN TO BE LOVED FOR WHAT YOU ARE NOT... .” and I also appreciate the overall message, the attitude towards men who like men, which certainly has an impact on the audience.
The two other gay characters Ai and Nhai (Ni) are also excellent, and the girls Miriam and Pang also contributed to the good fun. There are quite a few fans of these series here at GT, and I definitely recommend this piece to them.
