I think most drama watchers are females who are more attracted to the MLs. Untamed had 2 MLs which would double their chances of getting these fans. The original novel was one of the top in danmei and it already had a HUGE following. It also had a lot of exposure from the anime and audio drama which were well made. (They kept the same voice actors for drama too) So adding them up, it is quite hard to beat.
I stumbled upon the translated novel and because it wasnt complete, i ordered the physical copy to finish it. I was hooked then. Went on to the anime and naturally the drama. Agree that the front of the drama was really boring, zombies and special effects were cringey but the back made up for it.
Immortality might have exploded the same way if it aired.

Hi Chuntian! Im at epi30 of Blossom and hoping to finish it today to start on MM. It has been draggy and im doing my fast fwd again. Hahaha

Ansu and songhan, I cant get into their cp because i dont know whats going on with SHs character who flips good and bad. Hahahaha Ths plot has been moving too fast in some areas without proper development but draggy with the cps.

Dou Zhao reminds me of the all-knowing FLs in AYTO and the double. 😄 I actually prefer her pairing with Ji Yong. I think that his character is more interesting and he acted better than LYR, who did not manage to portray the bloodthirsty general. LYR is just too civil.
Im hoping the last 4 episodes will end the drama on a high.
