7/10 but I have temporarily put it on hold at epi14. Sorry I couldnt take the fl as XueRanRan despite DW being SOOO beautiful. 🤣 Some scenes of DW actually rival FOF/MJTY! The FL was a cool badass character as Mu Qing Ge in her past life and got reborn as XRR. XRR grins and talks out loud to herself a lot, which really grated on me. Where I paused, she appears to be the typical naive & cutesy FL in xianxia with a crush on her teacher. (The dt page will jump at this but i like to wind them up because of how defensive they are 😝) I think the actress is more suited to MQGs role as she's actually calm and down to earth. I really like her in all the bts and livestreams. Yesterday Pytheos told me that XRR has grown up and matured. I saw the same from some clips so I'm going to restart the drama very soon. Up to episode 14, the story's been interesting. DW acting has improved and he is more confident. I'm looking forward to the disciple/ master role reversal and atypical villians.

I felt they already hinted about his mom in front, esp with his recollection of mom making dried longan for him. Kid sys and her were smiling so warmly. He held onto that memory while freezing out in the cold and maintained his fondness for that food. She also expressed mixed emotions during the "selling" and meeting him at the later stage. I thought she behaved in such a heartless way so that little sys wouldn't keep running back to her and the abusive step dad. But agreed she could have told him when he was already grown up. Her actions left him so traumatised.
