No i dont think its a modern perspective. More of my personal values. I am fine with all the killing and polygamy in period costumes. I think most of the initial ratings were given by fans or those who have been anticipating the drama. The first to watch it are likely people who love it to bits and will give 9 or 10s. And then the regular watchers who may give 7 to 9 come in, bringing it down. Of course there are also haters who lower the score further. I think a good drama will pick up once more people get to know how good it is. The rating is reflective only with enough raters. Dont worry, this drama is strong
