Yes xue3 is the colloquial form. I think the contrast was when XY pronounces it like that but XL says xie3 in the next few lines. So there was kinda inconsistency throughout the show. 🤣 i think it stood out to me cos i was taught never to use that form. Other than that bit, i loved YZ voice acting! My first tears for the show was the scene where she mistook ah nians mum for her mum. 😠i was converted from that moment. I think DW will use his voice in his new dramas, (or at least the trailers sounded like himself.)
