After so many fast paced dramas like The Double and Dashing Youth, I need a good breather. I'm glad I found comfort…
I first saw her in Oh My General too. I was impressed because she was so young then. Like 18? I havent watched her recent roles except the one in TLP where i thought she looked fabulous too. I hope she doesnt go into cutesy roles as strong and clever characters fit her image.
I really think that death makes a character unforgettable, especially if they're strong and complex. Xiang Liu’s…
With ur username and pic i would have thought u were a huge jing fan. 🤣 Yes they say the one to surpass a 白月光 BaiYueGuang (White moonlight-some one unattainable) will be a dead BaiYueGuang. Although i dont agree with invasions, i dont hate the war theme either. It is afterall a work of fiction. I dont think i can ever understand how people are able to die for their beliefs in real life though. Im in too cushy an environment.
👨🦱:"When she walks on the streets everyone stares at her, even women glance twice🤗"Him:"Why👀😌???…
Could it be because of his status, he has seen many beautiful and well dressed women around? Whereas those on the street are people from a small town and so LMT stands out.
XL and XY also supposedly spend a night together, although I'm not sure if sexual intimacy is implied or simply…
I felt they attempted to compensate the cuts by giving viewers scenes of XL (but not XY) showing so much emotion/devotion. Which in turn made their relationship more one sided in the drama. The novel XL was aloof and wasn't so tragic. I probably wouldn't shed a tear there.
If the drama included XLs devotion AND all those YaoLiu interactions, the entire story would have been just about the 2 of them. 😅
The whole of s2? Hahaha main characters have been written OOC from the book i dont know where to begin. Main plot…
I think XL would have been a much much colder character in the novel. There was not a lot from his point of view as the author only described very briefly about his reaction or feelings. It was mainly how he saved XY time and again and had more intimate interactions like what the others have mentioned. The drama made him so mopey and lovelorn in s2 and XY almost seemed to be annoyed with him whenever he appeared. Then the OOC qin playing and time spent drinking and stalking her after BBQ night. These were awkwardly added. Sigh... For XY, she didnt come across so depressed. After her moonlight wedding to the "dead" Jing, she was tricked into an assassination attempt and XL ended up saving her. She saw his true form and forcefully offered her blood. This scene should have been kept. By then i felt she was her normal self and could cheekily talk back to XL. She also covered up FengLongs involvement in the assassination which showed she had her own mind. Drama XY was just going with the flow and depressed for a long time. I never felt she recovered even after marrying Jing in the end. Jing had more involvement in the novel. Although i didnt think they were very impactful because Im not into this cp, his presence was greatly diminished in the drama and he was just following her around like her helper. That did not improve his image as her endgame. CX i believe the others have explained the dream sequence. S1 followed the novel quite closely but the changes in s2 butchered their characters. Unnecessary time was spent on XL which didnt match his image at all and too little spent on Jing. XY lost her spark and CX became a noble king. S2s aim seemed to be making both characters and viewers cry. I dont think any novel fan is happy.

Hahaha i felt there was too much angst in the drama as well. XY seemed to have recovered her spirit after being saved from the whirlpool. But the drama made her depressed all the way.

If XY was the one who saved him from the arena...
