Yes in DKs letter to Bao Er on weibo, he said QM was drugged by the nanny and fatherhood forced upon him. They wanted to create an heir to keep the bloodline.
I so agree with everything u have written! I started watching for ZLH and didnt really like TXW. After this show, i actually prefer her over ZLH because im disappointed with his acting.
Xie Zheng might have been more of a red flag character, but Qi Min stole all the flags!! 😂
Wow i havent read the novel and didnt know Xie Zheng was anything but a goodie character who was always there to support and forgive his wife (for all the things she did in his camp). Maybe they had to whitewash him because he is the ml. But i think Xie Wei was a much better character for ZLH.

Hahaha i get what u mean. Ive been on that page and watching it too. I didnt feel any bad ass-ness from his acting either so maybe it turned out that way after editting? Lots of maybes for that show. I really dunno... Tjc is able to add a lot of layers to his characters, so unless they intentionally water XQS down into a sob story, it shouldnt turn out like that.
