Yes this is true. Chinese culture emphasizes on humility so u will not catch parents praisng their kids in front of others, especially the older generation. Praising like that is considered boasting. On the other hand, they will often talk bad about their kids. It is awful but very common.

It was great! The craziest and most unpredictable drama I've watched. Haha.. I literally laughed and then cried in one of the scenes due to the lyf references. The jokes got thrown in at the most unexpected times!
ML came across as a jerk in front and the FL also did some pretty awful things but i dont think the audience can hate them. TJC did an amazing job here with both comedic and emotional scenes. Go try! I will recommend to watch at least up to epi 8. It's a dark horse drama and its douban score is highest of the 3 modern dramas released at this time.
Im watching this for Esther and the snowboarding theme. Im at the start of episode 5 now. Is this entire drama going to be based on Beishan and the ski slopes or will they return to the city? They seem to be talking a lot about snowboarding lessons and techniques, which i obviously don't mind. But is there much more than what i have seen in these first episodes?
