A great drama based on the life of a real historical figure
Historical documents tell very little about this magnificent character but the drama was so amazingly written that you could easily imagine that something like this could have happened.
I really liked it. The characters were believable and stayed true to themselves throughout the whole drama, the plots and consequences were convincing and the romance developed naturally and nicely.
This would have been drama with 10 points but there some minor things that made me give the lower score. I won't list them all, but
there was a lot of cooking and a lot of cheming, the obstacles semes to follow a pattern, way too many episodes ended on a close-up of Jang Geum looking surprised or desperate, from time to time, the music was overly dramaticand and the ending felt a little rushed, and it was unrealistic for her to perform the operation alone first time ever and declare it a success only a few minutes after closing the patient up.
Overall, it was an amazing drama and well worth the time I spent watching it.
