-Both male leads are the go to guys for their islands. If the elders need anything done, they ask him.
-Both male leads are genuinely nice people who selflessly help others and it makes you feel good when it is reciprocated.

Female leads in both shows are writers/producers for variety TV shows and include a dating show in the drama with the leads.

Very similar shows and a lot of the plot is almost exactly the same. Both great shows though and although they have similar portions, the premise and characters are different.
