surprised because this was so much better than i expected from the reviews it really reminded me of the golden days of kdrama like it was genuinely just a good story with a touch of supernatural-ness. i feel like nowadays they have to make everything so realistic but i really miss when they just let a story be a story. like i just want a fun time that's why fiction exists and not everything has to be a realistic story to be a good story i guess i just really miss peak era of kdrama & this was such a suprisingly good find so definitely don't let reviews deter you from giving it a watch ^^
it seemed so promising at first but towards the end it really got lackluster especially the main cp. like the setup in the first 2 eps was so good and it almost seemed like we could've gotten some exciting chemistry but tell me why they suddenly turned into a boring cp where it wasn't even convincing that they are in love now... i dunno it's not like it was bad either but it somehow just feels flat 2nd cp definitely stole the show if only they had gotten more screentime so their story could've been developed more
i'm pretty sure it was honestly if they really have to use ai intros why can't they just make it more of a drawn/painting style because the more realistic the stranger it looks... i dunno those ai generated versions of the actors always weird me out
started out really good (like the beginning was so great and not your typical setup which made it super fun); the middle part was alright but the pacing definitely became a bit slower; kinda fell apart at the end and i watched at 2x speed (my reaction in general was just *sigh* what was the reason for this *sigh* what is this supposed to portray... like you have to give me a reason for the stuff that is going down to actually matter but i was just thinking the whole time that this is kinda stupid and unnecessary)
this was so much better than i expected from reading reviews/comments honestly the story is solid and 8 eps are just the right length. both the main cp and the side pairing have great chemistry. and the age gap... well let me just say it's a very sexy age gap
for anyone curious about the AI usage... AI footage is only used in order to visualize the setup of the murder case for the viewers. here's how the show actually works: the players sit around a discussion table and each get a file with information. they have to assume the described identy while trying to figure out who among them is the murderer during several rounds where hints are slowly revealed. for example those hints could be cctv footage which in this case of course was AI generated for the specific setup. at the end of the case the viewers get a short AI generated montage of the whole story and how it actually happend.
