your review convinced me to give it a shot! I was worried that the BL aspect would be overly subdued, but if you say its surprisingly faithful then I'm willing to give it a chance

I'm on the second episode and had to look at the reviews to check if I was insane... honestly all your points are so valid. While I don't want to take away from the achievements of the show... i'm just not feeling how soooo unlikeable the main couple is together. I can tell they went for a BL trope-- bad ahh boss whos cold at first... but she never makes any decisions that make sense...

I’m watching The Ingenious One rn, and usually I’m so bad at recognizing actors… but I knew him right away as the OG Wu Suo Wei from CounterAttack! His acting is so much better now.
