The premise of this BL was totally up my ally, but I ended up growing really tired of it midway through. :( It was just over the top silly, the dubbing was awful & I really wish the relationship/tension between the leads was handled more maturely. One thing I can't get over though is how insanely beautiful the kiss in EP 5 was. Had tears well up in my eyes.

Wooju Bakery being successful leading to Jeff making time to star in his other projects does not make sense to me. He's hot commodity and knows him starring in any (well-produced) series would do well. Wooju does not need to prove that he could make money off it. Neither do I think he necessarily needs the money he gets from acting. He tours so much & has so many brand deals... I believe at this point he can do what he is passionate about. I moreso believe the series not moving forward is in large part due to this seemingly being Mike's first time producing a show. From what I've observed smaller/newer studios have a harder time getting their projects off the ground... and they get scrapped more. Unless there are really passionate behind the scenes people pushing it forwards & finding enough funding for it. Now we've also been waiting for Happy Ending for quite a while (again, I think it's taking so long bc Studio on Saturn is a smaller company), but I think it will eventually happen. Because the show is in Jeff's hands more, that's his baby and he will push for it.
Completely agreed. Only detail, Kan shot Boss on the head first, that was the inmoral thing he did and his worst…
You're right! Shooting Boss in a way that could be fatal, when he could've just shot him in the leg to incapacitate him long enough so the cops could come to save him, was the worst thing Kan did! Him ending Boss's life after that still doesn't sit right with me & goes against Kan's previously stated principals of only killing people who are terminally ill too tho.
This was such a good story. It had every opportunity to fall into the usual BL tropes but never, NEVER did. Not even close. The story was original and the characters fleshed out. I love that everybody stood by their convictions, even if (SPOILER) I HATE and am genuinely so mad at Thiu for turning Kan in in the end. 🥲🥲🥲 I love that Dr. Kan stood by the fact that he spared his patients so much suffering. The only morally grey thing he ever did in my book, is euthanize Boss (upon his own wishes!), bc that wasn't purely motivated by him believing in self determination, but more so the fact that he didn't want Boss to rat him out.
I am in love with everything about this show - and this is not a minus about it- but damn do I hate Shu He for the way he kept betraying Zi'Ang like that ;___; Zi'Ang sacrificed everything to reunite with him & make him happy and all Shu He could cling to was revenge. He's an amazing character, but not a very good person in my eyes.
I loved the concept and bold ideas this story brought to the table - the execution could've really been a lot better :-( I love that SunTiny tackled breaking gender stereotypes, switching positions, insecurities in an established relationship, erectile dysfunction, BUT the story just didn't make sense a lot of the time. MaxNat's chemistry was amazing though. Hope to see them in a series with a truly amazing script one day 🙏🏽
