Just finished it. Pretty good. FL character is pretty special for an asian show. Sassy indeed. She chases ML shamelessly…
Romance recap: - FL chases ML since episode 1. - ML tries to avoid her for a few episodes but soon starts likeing her - They flirt before that but you could say they are together since episode 6. - They are always great together until the end, except for 2 problems along the way - First is a small quarrel because something stupid IMO. This quarrel is short and not dramatic. - Second, while he is on a mission she is forced to get engaged with somebody from another country. She tries to avoid it but her father falls ill because of the ruckus and she gives in. When ML comes back in episode 15, she tries to act like she doesnt like him anymore, and he is mad and leaves. This one is more dramatic and lasts for 2 episodes. But its the only bad part between them in the entire show. - In episode 17 ML has a plan to get her out of the marriage and tells her and they make up (in secret for now) - In episode 19 they get officially engaged. - In episode 20 they marry and are happy until the end (romance related, other things happen)
No love triangles, except if you count the 2 "forced" engagements which werent ever love rivals. (she was "forcibly" engaged at the start too, but she didnt even consider that engagement a threat)
Just finished it. Pretty good. FL character is pretty special for an asian show. Sassy indeed. She chases ML shamelessly since episode 1. It is lighthearted, but there is always the fear that something will come between them so it still makes you hold your breath several times.
Dor anybody interested:- They realize who the other is around episode 11, but they act as if they still dont know.…
sML? I don't remember details, but he was a good guy that wanted her to be happy. When he first knew about ML he may not have supported him since he didn't know anything. But he was always a good guy and as soon as he realized ML was a nice guy, he supported both leads. I hate many love triangles, and this one want bad at all. Maybe a bit for a very short time

- They start likeing eachother in episode 2. And form then on have very good chemistry and are always nice and sweet to eacthother. - A few episodes later ML admits he likes her and even tries to confess several times but always something happens. - Theres a short love triangle for about 2 episodes around episode 15. The guy she always liked (we never had a clue about this until now) returns from the US to pursue her. It could be a pretty bad love triangle, but the guy is very nice and as soon as he realizes ML likes her, he steps aside and gives them his blessing. - At 17 they get together and never break up.
Just finished it. Mmh, it's good. The good things: - It's very sweet, since very early - All 3 pairs have good chemistry - It's very lighthearted, nothing bad ever happens.
The bad: - We see they start likeing eachother since episode 2, and it still takes them a fraking TON of time to get together. It's not only bad because of the waiting, but also because it ends up being ridiculous how they arent together when they are acting like a couple for so many episodes. - She is DENSE, omg. Both are lovely to eachother, and we clearly see both like the other one, well we and everybody else. But even tho she clearly is in love, and so is he, she still doesnt admit to herself that she likes him, and doesnt believe he likes her, for such long time. Not making any sense because they do almost everything as a couple. - It is clearly a show made to be satisfying for women, much more than for men. It is always the guys who need to pursue the girls. They are the ones who need to confess and even convince the girls to be with them. Even when the girls wrong them in any way, they never have to apologize, its still the guys who need to convince them back. One ML literaly said (like 15 times) "From now on, every time we argue, no matter who is wrong, it will be me who apologizes". WTF of relationship is that. Another ML said this "from now on I will never object to what you want". Again, wtf. It's clearly written to please girls, but it was still very enjoyable for me. At least all FLs look very in love with their partners, unlike in some other shows where ML looks much more in love after they get together.
I dont exactly remember, I would say it's not such a short happy ending, but not sure. But the bad part is much worse than what you say. Big spoiler below:
It starts with just the typical noble idiocy, he wants to separate to protect her from his illness. But she was pregnant and because of running away from him when he broke up, a car runs over her and she looses the child... and he still breaks up with her after that. Simply... terrible.
It's just 4 or 5 bad episodes, but tragedies in other shows Ive seen are nothing compared to what happens here. omg was it terrible. The start is pretty funny and the ending is happy. But if you decide to watch it be prepared for those episodes...
xD I thought the exact same thing. Romance starts the same way. Ends the same way, ML actor is the same, and FL…
It has very little romance screentime. But the chemistry of the leads is great so even so little is awesome. If you want more spoiler about it let me know and I tell exactly what happens with the romance
Im so glad you arent the writer. The ending was lovely. Her confession was great, because she included the part about how hard it must have been for him and how sorry she is. She completly understood.
I always like to read a recap about the romance milestones so I do them also myself for others. It doesnt make much sense in such a short show, but here it is anyway:
- They are long time friends and he secretly loves her - First half is more centered on ML. We see how he loves her but she doesnt notice - Second half is more centered on FL, how she finds out he loved her and that she also loves him. But first he is away for work and when he returns she looks for a chance to tell him. - It all ends with her beautiful confession and them getting together. Its at the very end, but it's a 4 episode show, so you cant say they dragged it until the end xD
I guess you already watched it, but let me explain as somebody who likes when theres more romance. Even tho there isnt much screentime to the romance, its very satisfying because they get together pretty early, and they do everything as a couple. So yeah, you dont see them dating or stuff like that, but for us romance suckers, just knowing they are together when doing all the stuff, is pretty satisfying.
if i could get a nickel every time the "strong female lead" was great in the beginning and then ended up just…
What do you mean? At the beginning it was all MLs plan. She did nothing at the start. She started doing things as the plot advanced. Sure, ML still did more, it was everything his plan from the beginning. But it still has nothing to do with what you say happens.
After 100 dramas I recently started to rewatch some. I just rewatched lawless lawyer and it made me want to go for it's ok to not be ok just because how awesome this actress is.
Rewatched it after a year. Still awesome and one of my top 3 dramas ever. The only other show Ive rewatched is Healer. By watching both a second time Ive discovered that even tho I gave Healer a tiny higher score, it's because it has more focus on romance and I like that. But the intrigue plot here is much better. Rewatching Healer I skipped every intrigue scene without the leads on it, also the scenes form the past. I didnt skip anything rewatching lawless lawyer. Everything is just so cool and fun. The vilains are awesome here
I just read some of the latest comments... anybody interested in the show pay no mind to them. The show is amazing. When I watched it for the frist time, everybody was talking so good about it. And everybody still is, its just a few unfortunate comments lately it seems.
The only way you wont like this show is if you dont like ... lets say a bit over the top things. They exagerate things quite a bit, like in Vincenzo. If you hate that, sure, otherwise, its amazing.
I understand why people enjoy watching this. I also enjoy watching this drama. The reason why many people dislike…
Same as you say that was part of his character, how she acted after getting together was part of her character too. And dont get me wrong, I hate both tropes. MLs being cold stone at the start, and FLs looking less in love than MLs once they get together. This is very typical in asian dramas and I hate both things.
But you cant say its not the actors fault because its his character, and not say the same about FL. Did you see how after likeing ML for over 10 episodes, when he confessed she didnt look happy? She didnt even agree until later. Thats not the acting, that's how the script writers decided to make it.
