The feeling they both carry is very similar despite the plot differences. Old love rekindling is also an important theme in both drama in different ways though

Though Top Star Yoo Baek is more on the comedy side and My Husband Oh Jak Doo is a melo, both drama deal with a guarded city person having to experience the remote countryside. Both drama deal with stepping out of your shell and finding peace in the small things and how important human relationships are to one's life. Of course love triangles are a thing in both drama.

(As much as i don't really like the term) sismance for the win. In both drama the story focuses on a group of friends and how they deal with their everyday issues, romance, relationships as they have reached a certain point of their life and of course the societal expectations that go hand in hand with being a woman.
Both drama are about a large family living in the beautiful countryside when a "scandal" about a family member erupts. Both drama are about family dynamics and bonds and how a single change can bring the family together through the effort of wanting to be there for each other especially during the hard times. Lots of funny and emotional scenes, heartwarming yet frustrating at points. Last but not least both drama deal with the issue of societal conformity and pressure.
Three daughters, one mom, lots of issues that arise as the daughters are growing up, fall in love and start creating their own families. Both drama have a strong single mother figure who does everything she can to provide for her kids and be there when in need. Though both drama are generally heartwarming, they both have many sad and heartbreaking moments especially towards the end.
