This was my first Chinese drama, and it was a great starter. I've watched it (don't shame me pls) 3.5 times in total (1st watch, 2nd rewatch by myself, 3rd - incomplete - just for couple moments, and 4th with some people who hadn't watched it). Overall, it's truly worth a watch just because of the main pairing!
Story
The story has several arcs. The first few up till the 40s are really exciting and fast paced, but I found that it started to drag after that. However, the story picks up at the end and is pretty satisfying (for a Cdrama). It's, in essence, a love story, and it's the best love story I've seen. The progression of the main couple's relationship is very clear and natural. They don't just fall in love all of a sudden for a stupid reason, but instead slowly fall for each other through their experiences together. Their flirtatiousness in the beginning and their dedication for each other towards the end is truly the highlight of the story.
Acting/Cast
The two main actors were amazing here! Their chemistry was ummm...explosive. I think the whole cast did an amazing job worked really well together. Though the younger ones could improve, they all did their best and I was pretty satisfied with the acting overall.
Overall
The cinematography and the OST work really well together, the production looks really high budget, and the costumes are amazing. This show had some of the most artistic fighting choreo (I think it's the same as princess agents). It's pretty visually pleasing sometimes! I highly recommend this show especially if you're pretty new to dramas. If anything, just watch for the OTP!
