Soft-pass on this drama

The drama started one way and then veered into a direction and then another and then picked up storylines in the middle then dropped them.

It was like random tangents. Why did they start the story about the dating show? Ha-nuel and the person had three AWKWARD interactions. Also the brother RANDOMLY pops in and out of the story. The end of the drama tries to wrap up all the loose ends but even that cannot be contained into an hour finale.

My favorite character was Ga-yeong because she had measurable growth through out. She was funny and warm even though she presented as annoying. She showed care for Da-jeong and her ex husband. I like her connection with each person. I liked her with PT.

The main leads spent a lot of time just being.

Also there was a random crime underlying story which was so pointless by the end. It was so far-fetched and not put together well. I would definitely believe if they changed writers mid-way. Every single character had a weird mood shift at the 4th episode but not grief, more like a weird personality change.

I can't even list all the random things that happened and never got addressed/finished. I am kind of annoyed I waited so long for all the episode to come online but maybe it would have been worse to watch week by week.

If like me, you cannot handle not getting any reasonable closure then do not watch. They spent top dollar on everything except the script.

This may be my favorite drama of all time

I went in to this drama thinking I might not like it but I usually try to watch dramas a couple episodes in before I decide to drop. I binged like 50 episodes in one sitting. I was worth staying up till 7am to watch that many.

I like the story and the main leads. The FL and ML were amazing and had great chemistry. I liked the side stories and how they all linked together (but I always like that in dramas).

I think this drama has a lot of elements that work for it. It had some heavy parts but it also had stuff to balance it out. I also appreciated that there wasn't an absolutely crazy SFL who tried to force her love on the ML.

I definitely cried at this drama because of everything but it was so worth it.

It was so good and then kind of okay

Some potential spoilers:

I started this drama on a whim because I didn't think I would really get into the story. I really got hooked from the beginning and enjoyed it. I thought that the story was fun and had pretty hilarious bits. I liked the FL character and how she was just honest about herself. The ML was adorable and loving which I like in a ML.

The chemistry between the ML and FL was so good in the first half. I loved their banter and interactions. Then the second half of the drama the chemistry was almost awkward. It's like they filmed the last half of the drama first and the first part of the drama second. It was a notable shift for me.

I really think they could have made this 20 episodes. There was a weird other sibling that I felt like was not really apart of the story but would randomly pop up. I felt like there were a bit too many characters for this one story.

I liked that they showed her getting overwhelmed by everything with the wedding and her slowly panicking because that's exactly what would happen. I mean I wish that it would have happened sooner because that storyline was so much anxiety for the last two episodes.

I do like this leads together and like their acting individually as well
Would I rewatch this? I mean I have rewatched much worse. I would rewatch on 2x speed.

I wish I could get my thirty hours back

I completed this drama about 24 hours ago and I'm still upset at the ending.

This drama spend 10 years on high school storylines, then about 12-13 episodes on college storyline and then 7 episodes making me regret me ever starting this (or career storyline).

I loved the first ten episodes. I thought it was moving and beautifully shot. You immediately empathized with the FL and wanted her to get the grades she needed. I liked the ML who stayed beside her even when she yelled at him (when she was upset about a grade/studying). He was a great support and behind the scenes supporter as well. I liked the manga storyline. I cried and laughed.

Then disaster.
It just all fell apart. They grew apart because they were in different cities and the plot just got messy. In the first 10 episodes I felt like we got to see all of the couples and their storylines. When we got to college it just was so boring. I felt like it was mostly just ML and FL and the people who wanted to get with them. The leads fought over the same things repeatedly, some of which was worth fighting over and some which didn't matter. It just became boring and generic. I started watching at like double speed just to try to get to their career story line.

We got to the storyline and I really thought the story was going to right it self for awhile. I was sorely mistaken as everything got messy and pointless. The ML pushes away the FL and then....he doesn't do much of anything? Everyone tells him he's stupid, he becomes an alcoholic, he starts working at a company doing computer stuff. The one thing that bothered the FL (which was having the pretty friend from college around, working with him at the same place while SFL liked the ML) the ML still did. He never stopped working with her and still kept a very close friendship. She even said she wanted to stay next to him in any capacity (which why?). I don't think he did anything different to move forward or get the FL back and he became very annoying/pathetic. It was like they had all these romantic elements put into place to show that the ML did miss and still love the FL but they weren't executed. It was bizarre. It just kept getting messier and messier until I just wanted the FL and SML to get together. I didn't care about the ML anymore.

This ending made me so mad. It was a very open ending that was very very very rushed and was so bland and boring. She runs to him because she figured out he really loved her and he found out the same thing about her and runs to her. So they are rushing to the same place and then they are staring and smiling at each other and then it cuts to black and it is over. I felt like the whole show was building towards this great reunion and then never did it. It was super unsatisfying.

Rewatch value: -10. Do not watch a first time.

This always happens....

I read a synopsis of a drama and think I don't think I'll really like it but everyone says it's so good. So I put on my plan to watch shelf until I thought I might want to watch it. Well I did and it's become on of my favorite. I have done this before where I think it's not going to be good and then BOOM, I love it.

This is a really good ensemble cast that you want to love everyone and their slightly weird story lines. It's got just the right amount of angst and tears. It flows from funny to sad to funny. It makes you feel very warm. I like that the characters were more than 2D and had normal thoughts and feelings.

I super encourage watching this if you love to see the whole cast love and spend time with each other, strong FL, strong (hot) ML, great 2ML and 2FLs, if you like quirky families, and interconnected stories.

I did not expect to like this as much as I did....

A wonderful person on reddit mentioned this on a recommendation post that I read and I felt like I was running low on dramas I wanted to see. This was actually a great drama if you can move past some wardrobe/makeup and sometimes acting in scenes. The FL lead I swear wore a wig half of the time and then it was her real hair. So I don't actually know. The ML however, had so much makeup packed onto his face that I don't understand. He looks very cute! I like the story line a lot because it's not super common to have the FL be the superstar jock and the ML be super supportive and like INTO it.

I really liked that the ML just said his feelings. He did come around delayed but he never really denied his feelings which I appreciate because sometimes ML just spend half of the drama denying rather than doing anything. I think Puff Go did a really good job with her character because she was definitely the tsundre type like other ML characters! I also liked how the ML just did what he could to help and was very sweet after they got together.

I liked that the office workers were fun characters and they even (imo) had small character developments.

I think that this is a charming find. I liked watching it and it was sometime surface level but I still really liked it.

However. I can't get past the shoes they made the FL wear when she is office casual. I just can't. I refused to look at them.

10/10 Strong Woman Do Bong Soon!

This was hands down my favorite kdrama thus far. It had funny parts, great editing, fun characters, thriller elements, crime fighting and great character growth for FL.

I loved the main leads and they did so well in their parts. Everything worked at a really good pace in the story.

I didn't want to watch this drama at first because the synopsis did not sound all that interesting but I did on a whim. I binged it in one night, staying up till 10am the next day to see the ending.

This drama definitely gave me a crush on Park Hyung-sik and Park Bo-Young. They were people that I would be friends with. I also loved the friend of the FL. They had a very sweet relationship where they supported each other. *start of rant* I cannot any longer watch dramas where the FL has no friends or support. Why. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO WATCH THAT. *end of rant*

If you need something that will make you laugh and cry then this is it. It was awesome to see Do Bong grow into who she wanted to become. She was strong and kicked ass. I was so happy with the ending.

Oh God, the horror!

The FL rolls up in the first scene wearing a Nutty Professor TWO shirt, so I knew I was in for a rough ride. ROUGH. Then it just slowly devolved from there. The styling was the worst I have ever seen and this includes the FL's wig from Lucky's First Love. At one point he puts this UFC bandaid on the FL and wore a "thug life" hat. It was so so so bad. OH I FORGOT THE ELMO SHIRT AT A ROMANTIC DINNER.

I could go all day about the terrible styling but IN FACT the acting/story line was worse. The FL is supposed to be good a martial arts but IS NOT. She also is portrayed as this strong person but is a failure among us all. The ML is way worse than expected. Also basically she gets real into the idea of the whole contract minion relationship which is a definite signal of Stockholm syndrome.

OH I MOMENTARILY forgot the abusive and manipulative family for the FL. The mom forces a contract on her for money, the brother steals the said money, and they basically try to sell her to the ML . It is weird and terrible.

I personally thought that Meteor garden was bad but I was in fact wrong. So so so wrong.

This definitely should be hidden from the world forever and ever and ever.

Also if I could give this a zero I wouldn't, I would give it a -1.
