a true slice of life

Despite the magical premise, this show truly feels realistic. Kota's struggles and feelings while trying to fix his life are something I am sure every person can relate to. I understood Kota's apathy and depression, which made it so nice to see Ten help him get back on his feet.

While this show does have it's raw and depressing moments, it does not lack humor. At least once every episode I found myself laughing my ass off. I honestly commend the writers for not making me feel depressed the entire time I watched it.

As for the acting itself, I thought it was really really good. The acting can be goofy at times of course (to match what's going on), but the two actors show incredible range. During the serious moments of the show, you can truly feel what they are feeling. They show emotion without seeming forced or overdramatic. It genuinely feels like watching two real people go about their lives. Finally, the chemistry the two leads have is incredible. Just something about them makes them feel like a perfect pairing.

All in all, I would say get some chips, watch the show, and be prepared to laugh and cry (oh god, seriously, be prepared to cry) as you watch this heartwarming slice of life story.

severely underrated

I feel like this show deserves to be a ton more popular than it actually is. Like, I genuinely believe this should be considered one of the top BLs. Everything about it was great. The story was sweet, the messages were important, the acting was brilliant, and the music fit perfectly.

For the topic of the show being Med's death, this is honestly one of the funnier and more lighthearted BLs that I have watched. The writers did an excellent job balancing the serious and somber scenes of the show with funny as hell scenes that had me cackling.

The messages this show conveyed were also incredible. It used Med's death as a metaphor for other issues (which I will not mention because spoilers) that really hit home for me. In addition, they avoided doing the whole "I don't like men, I just like him" trope with Thun, and actually had him go through a character arc regarding his sexuality, which I sincerely appreciated.

I mentioned this before, but I have to mention this again: the acting in this show was SO GOOD. Singto and Ohm (especially Ohm) absolutely killed it. While I knew Ohm was a good actor from Bad Buddy, when I got to one particular scene (you'll known the one), I was absolutely blown away. I mean, truly, Ohm shines in this drama. Even more so than he does in Bad Buddy.

Just watch this drama. I swear, you won't regret it.

watch it!!!

(very minor and vague spoilers, but just in case, I labelled it as spoilers)

I love this show. Like, I think I have rewatched this show at least 3 times it is so good.

At first, I only started watching this drama because I love Jinguji from King & Prince. While I thought the premise was interesting, I wasn't expecting anything phenomenal, and went in with the expectation it would just be a good watch. Suffice to say, I was blown away.

Although the story is good, what takes this show from being "good" to "incredible" is the characters. Specifically, Takatsuki and Fukamachi. Their relationship has a natural progression, and watching Fukamachi slowly but surely open himself up to Takatsuki was satisfying, and made for an excellent character arc. In addition, despite Takatsuki being Fukamachi's assistant professor, Fukamachi shows the same level of care towards Takatsuki that Takatsuki shows Fukamachi. This created an equal relationship between the two characters, which I appreciated. It's clear that these two characters are good for each other, and I applaud the writers for characterizing their friendship this way.

While there a few minor plot holes regarding Fukamachi's abilities, honestly, the sheer sweetness of Fukamachi and Takatsuki's relationship made me completely overlook it.

All in all, you should definitely watch it.
